Female Black Desexed Pug
Microchip Number: #956000005906937
Victorian Pet Exchange Register Source Number: RE108835
DOB: 06/08/2015

Suzie Q likes to sing….
She wonders if  the woo woo woo puggy song is the next big thing…
Little velvet black ears and a curly black tail that waggles with glee…
Suzie Q says please pay attention to me…

Suzie Q has come a very long way with improving behavioural issues left from her sad past…
Working very hard on them everyday whilst in her Pug Rescue foster home the past few months have done fast….
She is still a bit skittish and whilst she has toned it down she will still scream when she doesn’t want to be alone…
But she has nearly learnt not run and scamper and scare…
And that coming to humans when called is good instead of darting back and forth everywhere….
And she has also learnt to sit when asked and also wait…
Which we think is great….

Airway surgery including widening of her nostrils and soft palate resection as well as a dental and a vaccination at Knox Vet Clinic done…
Means her teeth are sparkling, breath is fresh and after surgery rehab in her foster home including crate resting and hand feeding she has now recovered and doesn’t gasp for air when she runs…
Lots of baths and brushes too…
As when a girl is making a fresh start on life they always need a new hairdo…

Video of Suzie Q being hand fed soft food whilst recovering from her airway surgery: www.facebook.com/watch/?v=586356738692735

Suzie Q…
Enjoys playing with a soft toy or two…
And loves deer antlers to chew…
Suzie Q has always lived with other pugs…
She adores the companionship of her foster pug siblings, learning so much from them whilst also enjoying having them to snuggle up to and hug…
So she can’t wait to find her very own furever puggy friend to spend her days…
To both cuddle up to and have a play…

A little girl with a big heart…
Suzie Q can’t wait to make a fresh start…

Suzie Q is toilet trained, she is learning to love walks and does best with a confident doggy friend walking with her, she is either happy sleeping on a doggy bed with another pug/dog or crated with another pug/dog.

Suzie Q’s furever home wishes:

♥ Suzie Q would love a family that can continue with showing her the big wide world and show her positive leadership.
♥Suzie Q is a small girl of approx 6kg so would prefer a male pug companion that is not too large.  Please don’t apply for Suzie Q if your existing pug/s are overweight.
♥ Suzie Q is seeking a confident desexed male pug/pug x as a companion and play friend (between the ages of approx. 4 to 7 years).
♥ Suzie Q will not be rehomed as a single pug – she must have a suitable male pug as a companion.
♥ Suzie Q will not be rehomed with another female dog or with another breed of dog that is much larger and very different looking to herself.   Please, please, please don’t ask for her to be. 🙂
♥ Suzie Q has worked very hard on behavioural training in Pug Rescue care.  Including trusting people, coming to people, sit and stay.  She has also worked very hard on her manic behaviour and separation anxiety.  She thrives on positive leadership.
♥ Suzie Q may be suitable for children 6+ who are dog savvy.  She however is not suited to a home where children hype dogs up or a home where gates and doors could be left open.  Suzie Q is also not suitable for a home where anyone is unsteady on their feet and also unable to pick her up.
♥ Not suitable for homes where she would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥ Suzie Q would love a daily walk of at least 30 minutes.
♥ Access to the inside of her house 24/7 via a doggy door and an indoor bed.
♥ Suzie Q must have secure fencing of colourbond, timber or brick including no gaps under fences/gates.
♥ Suzie Q may be ok in a home with dog savvy cats.
♥ Suzie Q is best suited to a larger house block as if she chooses to scream and tantrum she is very loud.
♥Suzie Q requires air conditioning.

Medical notes

Suzie Q  has undergone airway surgery including soft pallet resection and nostrils widened, a dental and vaccination at Knox Vet.

Suzie Q is desexed, C5 vaccinated,  microchipped, up to date with worm & flea prevention.

Suzie Q has undergone extensive behavioural training whilst in Pug Rescue care.

Female Fawn Desexed Pug
Microchip Number: #956000004402471
Victorian Pet Exchange Register Source Number: RE108835
DOB: 25/12/2015

Eyes that will melt your heart….
Miss Grumbles is ever so smart…..
Cheeky at times…
With a dash of calmness combined…
Makes this puggy girl divine…
She is ever so attentive to her humans requests…
But she must confess…
She does love joining in with what they are doing or sitting next to them the best….

Arriving into Pug Rescue’s care carrying 2kg of excess weight, undesexed, struggling to breath and in need of a dental….
Her barking, manic, dominant and jumping behaviours left much to be desired and would have driven a normal person mental…
First step was a major dental and desexing at Knox Vet Clinic as well as the start of her behavioural rehab….
Along with losing the 2kg in excessive flab….
Next was specialist airway surgery at SouthPaws to end her huffing and puffing and gasping for air…
A folded palatoplasty to shorten her long soft palate, a tonsillectomy to remove her tonsils and widened her stenotic nares (nostrils) was done…
Two weeks of healing with strict crating and handfeeding soft food and medication by foster mum…
Now Miss Grumble’s breathing is great and she doesn’t gasp for air when she’s excited or going for a run….
After $3.5k in vet work to change her life Miss Grumble’s says thanks everyone….

Miss Grumbles likes to jump on the couch and grin cheekily…
A soft toy to play with fills her with glee….
She also adores a wrestle and game of chasey…
With a puggy boy….
And cuddling up next to human and puggy friends fills her with joy…
Walks are heaps of fun….
Miss Grumbles even likes going for a run….
Rides in the car are very exciting and some singing must be done…..
Ok Grumbles calm down and enjoy the ride says foster mum…

Behavioural training including learning self control, not to bark when humans are not in sight…
Not to jump, socialisation skills, how to sit and stay and wrong actions from right…
Have helped Miss Grumbles heaps turning her into a delight…
To have around the house and home….
And now she is finally able to seek a forever family of her very own….

Miss Grumbles is toilet trained, is crate trained and is a fantastic walker on lead & harness.

Grumbles’s furever home wishes:

♥ Grumbles is a larger statured female pug. More the size of a fit and healthy male pug.
♥ Grumbles would love an active family that can provide her with great leadership.
♥ Grumbles is seeking a desexed male pug of a similar age as a companion and play friend (between the ages of approx. 3 to 6 years).  Grumbles will not be rehomed as a single pug, with a much older pug, with another female pug or with another breed of dog.   Please, please, please don’t ask for her to be. 🙂
♥ Grumbles has worked very hard on her self control and not jumping up whilst in Pug Rescue care.  She thrives on positive leadership.
♥ Grumbles may be suitable for children 10+ who are dog savvy.  She however is not suited to a home where children hype dogs up or a home that will have young children in the future.
♥ Not suitable for homes where she would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Grumbles would love a daily walk of at least 20 minutes.
♥ Access to the inside of her house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥ We don’t think Grumbles would suit a home with cats.
♥ Grumbles is suited to a home with a yard and is not suitable for a unit/apartment.
♥Grumbles requires air conditioning.

Medical notes

Pug Rescue have spent $3,500+ of on vet work (normal public would have payed $4,500+) for Grumbles whilst she has been in care.  Including undergoing specialist airway surgery at SouthPaws (nostrils widened & soft palate resected, tonsils removed), vet checks & rechecks,  desexing, vaccination and dental at Knox Vet.

Grumbles has lost 2kg in Pug Rescue’s care.  It would be devastating to us if she was ever overfed and regained that weight again.

Grumbles is desexed, C5 vaccinated,  microchipped, up to date with worm & flea prevention.

Grumbles has undergone extensive behavioural training whilst in Pug Rescue care.  She has learnt to have self control, not jump up and not to be dominant.

MUFFIN

To enquire about adopting  Muffin please email with how your home and lifestyle matches her furever home wishes. (Please include your Name, Email Address, Suburb & Phone Number): info@pugrescue.org.au

Please read our Adoption Process Here

Female Fawn Desexed Pug
Microchip Number: 956000010543415
Victorian Pet Exchange Register Source Number: RE108835
DOB: 09/10/2018

Miss Muffin is full of glee…
And always smiling as if to say hey look at me…
A soft natured girl at heart…
Who is making a fresh start….

With her desexing, airway surgery, vaccination and microchip at Knox Vet now done…
This 1 & 1/2 year old puggy girl is always having fun…
And in Pug Rescue foster care she has discovered that she loves soft toys and to wrestle, play and run…

She’s had to work hard on learning many new things in her foster home over the past many weeks….
Like not to be ADD behaviour all the time, to have self control, not be reactive and not chuck tantrums as foster mum doesn’t like it when Muffin singing becomes shrieks…
Learning how to be a dog has made Muffin a much happier girl calmer girl which is a far cry from when she entered our care in such a manic state…
And now she has calmed a bit her brain is thinking a bit more straight…
She is able to learn things such as appropriate play with her foster pug siblings which is great…

Muffin is proud to say she has mastered how to sit quietly and wait…
Currently learning how to high five and shake paws…
We know Muffin is a very smart girl who can be taught much more…
When asked to go to bed in her crate she does and curls up tight to sleep…
And she is coming along nicely with walking on her harness and lead around the neighbourhood streets….
An extremely fit and agile girl…
Who has a gorgeous puggy tail curl…

As part of her forever family a calm polite and well adjusted puggy boyfriend to continue to teaching her how to be a dog Muffin seeks…
As her foster pug siblings have taught her heaps….
And her forever family human wishes are of ones that can continue to show Muffin guidance and help her use her boundless energy in the correct way…
In return for helping her continue to grow into a well adjusted girl she will repay her lucky new family with cuddles and puggy grins everyday…

Muffin is pretty much toilet trained, is crate trained and is becoming a great walker on lead, martingale collar & harness.

Muffin’s furever home wishes:

♥ Muffin is a taller and lankier girl.
♥ Muffin is seeking a smaller sized desexed polite and calm and non reactive male pug (pug like x) companion, teacher and play friend of a similar age to herself (between 1 to 3 years)  Muffin will not be rehomed as a single pug or with another female pug or with another breed of dog.   Please don’t ask her to be rehomed as a single dog, with another female pug or with a different breed of dog.
♥ Muffin is seeking humans that can show her good leadership and set ground rules for her as is still very young and prior to entering into Pug Rescue care had no training.  She is very receptive to positive directions and looks for guidance from her humans and has learnt to play thanks to her foster pug brother.  Please don’t enquire for Muffin if you are not able to set ground rules for her such as crating, sitting when asked, ignoring tantrums until she decides to calm and sit which she will now do. She has responded really well with positive lead on collar training and correcting and tie out training.
♥ Muffin is not suited to a home with kids at this point as they will hype her up.  14+ year old children would be fine.
♥ Muffin with all of our pugs requires secure fencing.
♥ Muffin is not suited to a home with cats or small animals.
♥ Muffin must have daily 30+minute walks and regular outings as well as other daily tasks to use her mental energy on such as targeting/trick learning, agility equipment, using sense of smell etc .
♥ Not suitable for homes where he would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥ Muffin of course requires air-condition.
♥ Access to the inside of her house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥ Muffin is not suitable for homes/units with smaller yards. She requires a larger style block home as if she tantrums or barks she has a very loud scream and very loud bark.

Medical notes

Pug Rescue have spent $1,800+ of on vet work for Muffin whilst she has been in care.  Including undergoing  vet checks,  vaccination & airway surgery (soft palette resection.)

Muffin is desexed, C5 vaccinated,  microchipped, up to date with worm & flea prevention.

Muffin has undergone many hours of extensive behavioural training whilst in Pug Rescue care.  She came to us in a manic state not understanding how to be a dog.  She has learnt to have self control, how to sit and wait, is learning how not to tantrum and bark and how to play and socialise with other pugs as she had no clue about how to play!

Female Black Desexed Pug
Microchip Number: #956000004414801
Victorian Pet Exchange Register Source Number: RE108835
DOB: 01/12/2015

Miss Mumbles says she’s the one….
If you are seeking a cheeky black puggy girl that is full of fun…
Mumbles can do the perfect head tilt and serious face….
But most of the time she is smiling as Pug Rescue have made her life ace…

Miss Mumbles came to Pug Rescue in a pretty terrible state…
Carrying 3.5kg of excess weight, undesexed, on heat and breathing like a freight train but  thankfully with our care and over $3,500+ in discounted vet work we have been able to change her fate…

First step was specialist airway surgery at SouthPaws where specialist surgeon Dr Ricky agreed with us that Mumbles breathing was horrendously bad…
To think that she lived like this for 4 years makes us all extremely sad…
Out the back to be premedded straight away to reduce her stress….
Dr Ricky then performed a folded palatoplasty to shorten her extremely long soft palate, a tonsillectomy to remove her tonsils and widened her stenotic nares (nostrils) and also observed that due to Mumbles obesity her epiglottis is also causing some obstruction which makes us sad that people think fat pugs are funny as in reality it causes terrible distress…
This airway surgery changed Mumbles life…
And it is so amazing to hear her now breathing normally whereas before she constantly 24/7 sounded like she was big strife…

Miss Mumbles’s horrendous breathing prior to her airway surgery: www.facebook.com/199803963337/posts/10158347587228338/?vh=e&d=n

Miss Mumbles’s amazing breathing just two weeks after her airway surgery: www.facebook.com/PugRescueVic/videos/725526314647984/

With 3.5kg of weight dropped (Mumbles was 10.5kg and is now 7kg) and fully recovered from her airway surgery it was time…
For Miss Mumbles to visit Knox Vet and Dr Corrie to desex her and perform a dental with lots of tartar scaled off and 8 teeth out which she has recovered from just fine…
A vaccination as well..
Mumbles says thanks to everyone who’s helped change her life as she now feels swell…

Miss Mumbles loves to have a play and wrestle with a pug boyfriend….
Sit in the sunshine and snuggle up on the couch at days end….
She tells us that she now knows how to sit and wait for tea….
And will gaze up waiting for her command to eat intensely….
Walkies are great and car rides on the passenger seat are a treat..
Mumbles says that every human who’s met her thinks she’s adorable and sweet…

Mumbles knows that there is a perfect furever home for her waiting….
She’s waggling her whole body anticipating….
How fantastic her new life will be…
With a furever family….

Mumbles is happy to sleep in a doggy bed or crate, she is great on walks, loves car rides and is toilet trained.

Mumbles furever home wishes:

♥ Mumbles would love an active family that can provide her with great leadership.
♥ Mumbles is seeking a desexed male pug of a similar age as a companion and play friend (between the ages of approx. 3 to 5 years).  Mumbles will not be rehomed as a single pug, with a much older pug, with another female pug or with another breed of dog.   Please don’t ask for her to be. 🙂

♥Mumbles would love a daily walk of at least 15 to 20 minutes.
♥ Access to the inside of her house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥ We are unsure of who Mumbles is with cats.
♥ Mumbles may be ok in an apartment, unit, townhouse that has a yard she can toilet in and grab some fresh air and sunshine and have a run around.

♥Mumbles requires air conditioning.

MARSHALL (Medical Hold – No Enquiries Please – Not Available)

To enquire about adopting Marshall please email with how your home and lifestyle matches his furever home wishes. (Please include your Name, Email Address, Suburb & Phone Number): info@pugrescue.org.au

Please read our Adoption Process Here

Male Black Desexed Pug
Microchip Number: #982000362045768
Victorian Pet Exchange Register Source Number: RE108835
DOB: 15/02/2015

Are you are after a handsome black puggy boy with a cheeky grin?
Marshall says to pick him!
His pearly whites….
Are quite a delight…
And when Marshall strides about with his good looks he is a striking sight…

A cheeky boy…
Who loves his toys…
Playing fetch with a ball is great fun…
Please throw it again for me foster mum…

Whilst blessed with good looks cheek…
Marshall’s skin issues over the past few years may make some weep…
Marshall’s previous owner worked hard to clear a nasty skin issue called MRSP so that he could come into Pug Rescue care…..
Pug Rescue have been working on helping him overcome yeast infections and itchy dry flaky skin with meds and medicated baths and brushes to give him back his glistening hair….
We have now worked out that Marshall does best with 6 weekly skin/immune injections, a bath and brush weekly/fortnightly and know that he needs his face and underarms cleaned with baby wipes morning & night….
Which maintains Marshall’s skin and good looks perfectly right….
Marshall is a good boy with his beauty routine…
And thinks that all handsome lads should take some tips from him especially if they are on the dating scene…

Is that my lead and harness Marshall asks?
Marshall loves getting out and about and strides along very fast….
Marshall is not sure if he should always stay a bachelor and has been working hard with sharing and socialising in his Pug Rescue foster home…
Right now he’s leaning towards staying a single puggy man in a home of his own…
And going out on socialisation, play and walking dates…
As he still likes the idea of having puggy mates…

Marshall hopes there is a home out there…
That loves sprinkles of black puggy hair…

Marshall is toilet trained, will sit and wait until told it’s ok to eat, is crate trained and also very happy to sleep on a doggy bed, walks nicely on a lead and harness.

Marshall’s furever home wishes:

♥ Marshall  is  most likely best as a single pug as he can be bossy in high excitement/drive times and doesn’t quite understand playing nicely as yet and might never learn.    Marshall will not be rehomed with another male pug or with another breed of dog.   Marshall is absolutely fine out and about socialising.   (Marshall has spent the past 5 years as a single pug and due to his ongoing skin issues he had limited interaction with other dogs.  He has come a long way in his foster home with his socialisation and co-living skills)
♥Marshall is seeking humans that can show him good leadership and set ground rules for him.  He is a typical larger male black pug who thinks he’s a king and whilst he’s a good boy and very receptive and responsive to positive leadership if he gets a chance he will try and see if he can be boss.  Marshall’s new owners must be capable of picking him up to bath him and to clean him.
♥Marshall is not suitable to for home with young children.  He is seeking a home without children or with high school aged children.  Marshall is not suited to a home with will be having children in the future.
♥Marshall with all of our pugs requires secure fencing.
♥We are unsure if Marshall is suited to a home with cats or other small animals.
♥Marshall thrives on regular walks and outings.
♥Not suitable for homes where he would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Marshall of course requires air-condition.
♥Access to the inside of his house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥Marshall is more suitable to homes with larger yards as he does have a typical male black pug big bark and a typical black pug big scream and vocal capabilities .

Medical notes

Marshall has controlled atopic dermatitis – Atopic dermatitis in dogs (allergic dermatitis, canine atopy) is a hypersensitivity or over-reaction to a variety of commonplace and otherwise harmless substances in the environment.   Marshall in his previous life had MRSP which was treated and resolved by a skin specialist. Pug Rescue have worked hard and we have now  been able to keep Marshall’s skin happy/comfortable/stable with a twice daily cleaning of his nose roll and his front legs/underarms, fortnightly brush and bath and 6 weekly Cytopoint injections at his vet.  This easy and straightforward healthy skin regime will have to be maintained by Marshall’s new home for the rest of his life.

Marshall is desexed, C5 vaccinated,  microchipped, up to date with worm & flea prevention.

Marshall has undergone behavioural training whilst in Pug Rescue care.

Travis’s furever home wishes:

♥ Travis is seeking a home with a desexed female pug/pug x of a similar age as a companion and play friend. Trav is a larger boy but with a soft nature and we have not seen any aggression from him. (5 to 7 years)  Travis will not be rehomed with another male pug/dog or with another breed of dog or as a single dog.  Please don’t ask him to be 🙂
♥Travis is a big softy but can be cheeky and is seeking humans that can show him good leadership and set ground rules for him.  As he is a cross breed he is larger than a pure pug.
♥Travis is not suitable to for home with young children but would be fine with kids 10+.  Travis would do best in a family that wont be having young children in the future. Travis has been taught not to jump and to settle but in a new home he may become excitable again.
♥Travis with all of our pugs requires secure fencing.
♥Travis is not suited to a home with cats or other small animals and preferably a home that doesn’t have possums residing in the yard.

Medical notes

Travis has undergone weightloss in Pug Rescue Care.

Travis has undergone a dental at Knox Vet.

Travis is desexed, C5 vaccinated,  microchipped, up to date with worm & flea prevention.

Travis has undergone behavioural training whilst in Pug Rescue care.

Please read our Adoption Process Here

Female Fawn Desexed Pug x (possibly terrier)
Microchip Number: #956000010216691
Victorian Pet Exchange Register Source Number: RE108835
DOB: 25/04/2018

Hello Possum…
In Pug Rescue foster care this little pug x girl has truly  blossomed…
As sweet as can be…
She now wags your little tail back and forth with glee…
And will sometimes woo woo woo whilst sticking her ears up and prancing around merrily…

Recently turning 2 Possum is learning that the big wide world is not that scary after all…
She will now come to her foster family for pats and cuddles when they call…
Possum now loves jumping on the couch and snuggling in soft beds…
And after lots of practice has now learnt to sit and wait when it’s time to be fed…

Desexing, umbilical hernia repaired, widening of your once tiny nostrils, dental and a vaccination at Knox Vet Clinic done…
Means no chance of pups, her tummy no longer has a lump, her breath is now fresh and teeth are sparkling and she can breath through your nose now and not struggle for air when she plays or runs..
Possum is slowly learning the joy…
Of playing with soft toys…
And having always lived with other pug x’s she adore the companionship and takes comfort in her puggy friends in her foster home…
So she can’t wait to find a doggy boyfriend or brother of her very own….

A little treasure if ever there was one….
Possum is excited about new adventures to come…
And hopes to soon find her perfect furever dad and mum….

Possum is basically toilet trained, she is learning to love walks and does best with a confident doggy friend walking with her, she is either happy sleeping on a doggy bed with another pug/dog or crated with another pug/dog.

Possum’s furever home wishes:

♥ Possum would love a family that can continue with showing her the big wide world.  She has learnt that living inside a house is great, couches are comfy and that walks can be enjoyable.  But in a new home she will most likely be a bit timid again before she realises things are fine.  Her timidness results in her being more quiet or hiding under things and she is in no way fear aggressive/reactive.  She does warm up to people and new situations quite quickly and expect her to turn into a normal dog over the coming months.
♥Possum is only a small girl with a long body and short little legs so would prefer a companion that is not too large.
♥ Possum is seeking a confident desexed male pug/pug x or similar looking dog to herself as a companion and play friend (between the ages of approx. 1 to 3 years).  Possum will not be rehomed as a single dog with a much older dog, with another female dog or with another breed of dog that is much larger and very different looking to herself.   Please, please, please don’t ask for her to be. 🙂
♥ Possum has worked very hard on behavioural training in Pug Rescue care.  Including trusting people, coming to people and can even now sit and stay.  She thrives on positive leadership and is a very soft natured gentle girl but we have found can be fence reactive which is more of a terrier trait.
♥ Possum may be suitable for 6+ who are dog savvy.  She however is not suited to a home where children hype dogs up.
♥ Not suitable for homes where she would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Possum would love a daily walk of at least 15 minutes.
♥ Access to the inside of her house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥ Possum may be ok in a home with dog savvy cats.
♥ Possum may be suited to a unit/apartment/ town house that has a yard/courtyard she can toilet in and catch some sunshine and fresh air.

♥Possum requires air conditioning.

Female Fawn Desexed Pug x Cavalier
Microchip Number: #953010002000837
Victorian Pet Exchange Register Source Number: RE108835
DOB: 26/05/2017

Annie is a good girl with a heart of gold…
She’s just learning about how great it is to hang out inside a house and that walkies are actually not that scary all at the age of 3 years old…
A cross between a cavalier and a pug….
Annie melts into you and goes all floppy like a big teddy bear when you pick her up for a hug….
With big pleading eyes….
She is learning not to be timid and shy…

Annie gets excited when it’s time to get up…..
And bounces around like a big pup…
Her foster mum has taught her to sit and wait….
Sometimes Annie will also drop and wait which we think is great….

An extremely smart girl Annie has now been desexed…..
And can’t wait for what’s to come next…
She loves soft toys and grabs them and carries them around with much joy….
She also loves a game of wrestling and chasey especially with her foster brother who’s a cheeky pug x boy….

Snort snort snort Annie goes…..
Through her squished nose…
First to seek out and report possums or birds in her foster homes yard….
Annie asks if anyone needs a top notch security guard….

A furever home this sweet girl seeks…..
With yummy food and soft warm bed to sleep…
A confident pug x brother or boyfriend like herself for company would be great…
As she has always had other pug x’s as mates….
And of course humans that will treat her like a queen….
That’s Annie’s forever home dream….

Annie is working on her toilet training but should catch on quickly in a forever home, she is happy to sleep in a crate or a doggy bed, she is learning that walks are great and does best with another confident dog walking with her but can sometimes startle at loud buses, cars, trucks etc.

Annie’s furever home wishes:

♥Annie would love a family that can continue with showing her the big wide world.  She has learnt that living inside a house is fantastic, couches are comfy, toys are fun and that walks are exciting.  When she is experiencing new things/sounds/sights she can become worried but if told it’s ok she soon learns nothing bad will happen.   We expect her to turn into a normal well adjusted dog in the coming months.
♥Annie is a larger and taller typical pug x cavalier.  She is 12.5kg and long in the body and probably best suited to another pug x cav as a companion.
♥ Annie is seeking a confident desexed  large male pug/pug x or similar looking dog to herself as a companion and play friend (between the ages of approx. 2 to 4 years).  Annie will not be rehomed as a single dog with a much older dog, with another female dog or with another breed of dog that is very different looking to herself.   Please, please, please don’t ask for her to be. 🙂
♥ Annie has worked very hard on behavioural training in Pug Rescue care.  Including trusting people, coming to people and can even now sit and stay and will sometimes drop.  She thrives on positive leadership and is a very soft natured gentle girl who knows when she has done something she should not have.
♥ Annie may be suitable for younger who are dog savvy.  She however is not suited to a home where children hype dogs up nor with children that would be upset if she was jumpy and excited around them.
♥ Not suitable for homes where she would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Annie absolutely must be walked for at least 30 minutes a day.
♥ Access to the inside of her house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥ Annie is not suited to a home with cats, birds, small animals etc.  She also would be best in a home that does not have possums residing in the yard.  Annie has a great sense of smell and has inherited the cavalier prey drive.

♥Annie must have secure fencing as she is capable of easily jumping and climbing waist height puppy pens and garden fencing.  6ft colour bond, brick or timber fencing is a must for Annie with nothing leaning up against it that she could jump on and no way of digging out.
♥ Annie may be suited to a unit/apartment/ town house that has a yard/courtyard she can toilet in and catch some sunshine and fresh air. She does have a big bark but this should not be a problem if she has access to inside.

♥Annie requires air conditioning.

Medical notes

Annie is desexed, C5 vaccinated,  microchipped, up to date with worm & flea prevention.
