Dumpling with the perfect wrinkles and inquisitive face…
Loves to be part of the action and go for walkies at a fast pace…
For fun she plays tug of war and flings toys around the place….
Now that she has undergone her weight loss, behavoural training and vet work she thinks the sound of a furever home and family is ace…

Arriving into Pug Rescue care itching with lots of fleas, huffing and puffing, needing to lose weight, yucky ears and not sure what to do with herself as she had lived with her half sister she felt she always had to compete with…
Dumpling was pleased to have baths and flea treatments that got rid of the creatures making her itch..
Ear drops from Knox Vet cleared up her yucky ears and Pug Rescue boot camp has seen her shed 2kg of weight…
She was 9.5kg and is now 7.5kg and is now looking in tip top shape…

Behavioural retraining to help Dumpling calm and realise she doesn’t need to compete has been achieved….
And via Dr Caitlin and the Geelong Animal Referral Services Team performing BOAS “Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” surgery we have been able to gift Dumpling the ability to more easily breathe…
After two weeks of crate rest, hand feeding soft food and meds Dumpling reports she no longer huffs and puffs and her breathing is now great…
And she’s back running and playing with her puggy mates….

Dumpling is a very smart girl and listens intently…
She will enjoys sitting on the couch watching tv with her head rested on your knee…
She will sit and wait…
And is happy to sleep with another pug in a doggy bed or a crate…

Dumpling can’t wait to find an active furever home with a young puggy man…
And promises she will love everyone the best way a puggy can…
She will supply endless head tilts and fun…
So please send an adoption enquiry to Pug Rescue if you would like to be her new furever dad or mum….

Dumpling xxx

Dumpling sleeps either in an indoor doggy bed with another pug or is also perfectly happy in a crate with another pug.
Dumpling is toilet trained.
Dumpling walks well on a lead and harness. She may be excitable to start with or if she sees other dogs but this is very easy to gain her attention and we wouldn’t class her as reactive. She is fine crated in the car.
Dumpling knows how to sit and wait and will wait until told it’s ok to eat.

Cindy’s furever home wishes:

♥ ANOTHER PUG – Yes! Dumpling needs a male companion pug. A healthy male pug – desexed, well trained and well socialised, non reactive, non dominant, calm, healthy weight (between 7kg to 9kg), aged between approx 2 to 4 years. Dumpling enjoys the companionship as well as playing wrestling and chasey other pugs. Dumpling is not suited to being placed with another female pug as there will be nasty same sex fights. Dumpling is not suitable to be homed with another breed of dog. Dumpling is not suited as a single pug.
♥ HUMANS – Dumpling is seeking humans that can provide her with strong leadership. She is responsive to being shown the correct way to do things and thrives with routine. She is extremely smart and understands instructions. Dumpling can never be allowed to become overweight!!!!
♥KIDS – Dumpling would be fine with older school aged children. She may knock smaller kids over in her excitement.
♥ Dumpling as with all of our pugs requires secure brick, timber or colourbond fencing.
♥CATS – Unsure.
♥EXERCISE – Dumpling requires at least a 30 to 40 minute walk a day.
♥WORKING HOURS – Not suitable for homes where she would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Dumpling absolutely requires air-condition.
♥Access to the inside of her house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥HOUSE & YARD SIZE/TYPE: Dumpling needs a home with a small to medium yard and is not suited to townhouses/units that have no or very tiny outdoor areas nor is she suited to inner city living.
