Tobias has just turned two..
And had his life turned around by Pug Rescue…
A healthy 8.4kg he now is after 2.5kg+ of excess weight lost..
And behavioural training and socialisation that has helped him lots..
BOAS surgery performed by Dr Ricky at Geelong Animal Referral Services including folded palatoplasty, to trim and thin his soft palate, a tonsillectomy and widening of his extremely stenotic nares…
Now he no longer huffs and puffs terribly and instead more freely breathes air…
With the help of routine, positive leadership and puggy friends to teach him…
Tobias no longer feels the need to nip or tantrum, nor pee on things, nor hump other dogs or people and he now knows that beds aren’t for ripping up instead they are great to cuddle snoozing…
With his puggy foster sister and puggy friends, he absolutely loves to play with toys as well as wrestle and play…
And runs extra fast doing puggy scuttles with his face full of glee saying yay…
Walkies are a joy for Tobias who trots along perfectly…
Sniffing the smells and taking in all the sights to see…
Sit, stay, drop and even spin around this boy can do..
Tobias is very eager to please you…

Tobias is toilet trained but may have accidents in a new home to begin with. He rarely lifts his leg to pee and still will squat like a pup!
Tobias is happy to sleep in a crate with another pug or a doggy bed with another pug.
Tobias is a great walker on a lead and harness and does not pull and is not reactive.
Tobias does best crated in the the car.
Tobias’s furever home wishes:
♥ ANOTHER PUG – YES! Tobias lives with with other pugs in his foster home and adores his puggy foster sister. Tobias is a lovely fit boy who loves to play and wrestle and is seeking a similar aged healthy female small desexed pug (between 1 to 4 years) who is well socalised as a companion. Tobias will not be rehomed with other male pugs/dogs. Tobias will not be rehomed as a single pug. Tobias will not be rehomed with another breed of dog.
♥ HUMANS – Tobias is a teenager and is seeking humans that can show him positive leadership.
♥KIDS – Older high school yes. Tobias would be fine with older high school kids who understand dogs.
♥FENCING – Tobias as with all of our pugs requires secure brick, timber or colourbond fencing.
♥CATS – Unsure.
♥EXERCISE – Tobias requires at least a 20 to 40 minute walk a day plus play times.
♥WORKING HOURS – Not suitable for homes where he would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥ Tobias absolutely requires air-condition.
♥Access to the inside of his house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥HOUSE & YARD SIZE/TYPE – Tobias would suit a larger family sized house and block.

- Tobias has undergone vet check at Knox Vet.
- Tobias has undergone specialist airway surgery by Dr Ricky of Geelong Animal Referral Services (folded palatoplasty to trim and reduce the thickness of his soft palate, widening of his nares/nostrils and tonsillectomy)
- Tobias has lost 2.4kg+
- Tobias is desexed, C5 vaccinated, is microchipped & up to date with his worming & flea prevention.
