Female Black Desexed Pug
Microchip Number: #978102100275974
DOB: 09/12/2015
6kg
RE108835

Who wants Cuddles?…
She promises that if you pick her she will reward you with lots of head tilts and snuggles…
Cheeky but very smart….
After $4,000 in vet work and rehab this little black puggy girl is now looking for a fresh start….
And wonders if there is a place for her in your heart….

Arriving into Pug Rescue care due to her absolutely horrendous horrible sounding breathing that was annoying her previous family along with her manic behaviour….
Cuddles was undesexed, had produced puppies, was obese, had rotting teeth and ear infections and was thankful Pug Rescue became her savior….

2.5kg in weight loss (was 8.5kg now 6kg), ear infections treated, a major dental with 15 rotting teeth removed and desexing performed by Dr Bianka at Knox Vet Clinic has been achieved….
Specialist airway surgery by Dr Ricky from Melbourne Animal Referral Services at Knox Vet has helped Cuddles finally after 6.5 years more easily breathe…
Terrible pedigree genetics causing a tiny trachea, tiny nostrils, soft palate to be thick and elongated and tonsils to be massive made poor Cuddles constant distressing loudly puff and heave…
Her breathing since surgery has now improved drastically….

CUDDLES PERFORMING HIGH FIVE

Manic and both scared…
Cuddles has come along way in Pug Rescue foster care…
Learning that it’s not polite to fight…
And for dinner she must sit right…

High five and sit and wait as well as go to bed are some of the commands and tricks Cuddles knows…
Playing chasey and wrestling with a puggy buddy Cuddles is all go go go…
Soft toys are a blast…
And when going for walkies she loves to go fast….

Despite her name Cuddles is now only learning that being picked up, handled and cuddling is a nice thing to do…
When she arrived into Pug Rescue care she used to scream, wriggle, struggle and panic when handled and picked up but she has been learning that handling and cuddling are actually something nice she can have in her life too…

So if you need more Cuddles in your life….
Miss Cuddles says perhaps she suits your family and home just right…

Cuddles sleeps either in an indoor doggy bed or is also perfectly happy in a crate
Cuddles is toilet trained.
Cuddles walks well on a lead and harness and is fine in the car in a crate or doggy seat belt.
Cuddles knows how to sit and wait and will wait until told it’s ok to eat.   She also knows how to do high five.

Cuddles’s furever home wishes:

♥ OTHER DOG – Yes! Cuddles needs a companion pug.  A healthy male pug – desexed, well trained and well socialised, non reactive, non dominant, calm, healthy weight (between 6.5kg to 8.5kg), healthy pug aged between approx 5 to 8 years.  Cuddles has gained so much from living with other pugs.   She enjoys the companionship as well as playing wrestling and chasey other pugs.  Cuddles is not suited to being placed with another female pug as there will be fights.  Cuddles is not suitable to be homed with another breed of dog.  She is not suited as a single dog.
♥ HUMANS – Cuddles is seeking humans that can provide her with strong leadership.  She is responsive to being shown the correct way to do things and thrives with routine. She is extremely smart and understands instructions but can become unsure/timid at times due to her anxiety and past life.  She needs a home that understand that she came into care manic and not used to being picked up, handled or cuddled.  Cuddles is fence reactive. Cuddles can never be allowed to become overweight again!!!!
♥KIDS – Cuddles has previously lived with young children.  We would recommend if her new home does have young children they are dog savvy and will not hype her up.  If the home does have children they will have already completed their family with Cuddles being their last child.
♥ Cuddles as with with all of our pugs requires secure brick, timber or colourbond fencing. Cuddles requires fencing that can not be seen through.
♥CATS – No!  Whilst Cuddles has previously lived with a very old blind docile cat we feel that cats pose a great risk of injury to her large eyes.  It’s a risk we are not willing to take.
♥EXERCISE – Cuddles requires at least a 15 to 20 minute walk a day and is continuing to build up her fitness to 30+ minute walks.
♥WORKING HOURS – Not suitable for homes where she would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Cuddles absolutely requires air-condition.
♥Access to the inside of her house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥HOUSE & YARD SIZE/TYPE: Cuddles needs a home with a small to medium yard and is not suited to townhouses/units that have no or very tiny outdoor areas.

Medical notes:

  • Cuddles has lost 2.5kg in weight.  She was 8.5kg and is now 6kg
  • Cuddles has undergone desexing at Knox Vet.
  • Cuddles has undergone  specialist airway surgery by Dr Ricky of Melbourne Animal Referral Services (folded palatoplasty to trim and reduce the thickness of her soft palate, widening of her nares/nostrils and tonsillectomy)  Whilst her breathing is drastically improved it will never be perfect.
  • Cuddles has undergone full bloods at Knox Vet.
  • Cuddles has undergone a major dental with 15 teeth removed at Knox Vet.
  • Cuddles has undergone ear infection treatment.
  • Cuddles is desexed, C5 vaccinated, is microchipped & up to date with her worming & flea prevention.

Male Brindle Desexed Pug X Pomeranian
Microchip Number: #956000008921236
DOB:  27/11/2012 5kg
RE108835

Hello is it me you are searching for?
The mythical pug x pom gentleman with tiny little paws….
Whilst my hair may be…
A bit fluffy and crazy….
Underneath I’m only a tiny guy who can be both a laid back lad and a cheeky bloke too….
A furever home who will adore me would make my dreams come true…

Shake, shake, shake…..
Hunter thinks fluffy soft toys are rather great……
Tug of war or chasey with his pug foster siblings is fun…
So is having cuddles with foster dad and mum….
Chew, chew, chew……
Hunter says chew toy bones are great too….

Hunter isn’t that impressed with other boy doggies and either ignores them or becomes a tough little man…..
And cats he can’t really stand….
As you have to be sassy when you are just 5kg…
But girl doggies he absolutely adores…
Cuddling with, sniffing, kissing, wrestling and tapping with his tiny paws….

Out walking Hunter struts and in the car he grins……
As getting to go on adventures is very exciting…..
He thrives with routine….
And understands what sit, wait, out, in and go to bed mean….

Ending up at a pound/shelter not in a good way……
Thanks to Pug Rescue for helping me his little face seems to say….
Desexed and a major dental complete….
Hip and hind leg xrays, blood tests, tear duct flush, antibiotics for kennel cough and his extremely stenotic nares (nostrils) now widened he can now breath through his nose which he thanks Dr Laura at Knox Vet for heaps…
We thought that we had found Hunter a perfect home but through no fault of his own that we can work out he was returned into our care and settled into his foster home just fine….
His foster family especially his foster dad thinks he’s just divine..
Unfortunately a diet of soft supermarket food during his time away has meant Hunter has had to undergo another major dental at Knox Vet with lots of tartar and three teeth taken out…
Hunter says it’s ok he can still perfectly pout….

Hunter says he is a perfect size to scoop up to sit on your lap……
And being loved along with cuddles make him a happy chap…..
He hopes there is a wonderful home searching for a little guy like him….
And guarantees he will make you laugh and grin……

Hunter is a very little boy.
Hunter is crate trained and will happily sleep on a soft doggy bed with another dog or in a crate with another dog. Hunter is now toilet trained but in a new situation may have accidents
Hunter is fine at walking on a lead and harness.
Hunter will sit and wait and sit and wait until told it’s ok to eat.

Hunter’s furever home wishes:

♥ OTHER DOG – YES! Hunter will not be rehomed as a single dog.  He has always had a female doggy companion.   He must have a home with a desexed, well trained and very well socialised outgoing but non reactive healthy fit female small dog that looks similar to him aged between approx 8 to 10 years old.  He is not suited to being an only dog and not suited to being placed with another male dog nor with another breed of dog that is very different to himself or much larger than himself.
♥HUMANS – Hunter is seeking humans that can love him and provide him with regular baths, face wipes and brushes.  He also needs humans that can provide him with good leadership and that also.
♥KIDS – Hunter is not suitable for homes that have young children or that  will have future young children. 15+ children are fine.

Microchip Number: #956000011105586
DOB: 16/12/2019
Victorian Pet Exchange Register Source Number: RE108835

Miss Loco is my name…
I’m a frenchie x pug and goofing around and having fun is my game…
I can run very fast and jump very high through the air….
I love all types of toys and love playing tug of war and to shaking them everywhere….
Playing with other doggies is great and with my current foster frenchie friends I happily share…
I may be the size of boxer puppy but I love to sit on laps….
And yep I can be held in your arms like a baby having a nap….
Oh I know how to sit, drop, wait and shake paws as I am very smart girl….
I will stare at you with my big loving eyes and waggle my funny tail curl….

I’m well and truly recovered from my vet work at Knox Vet Clinic which included a nose job (nostril widening), vaccination and desexing spay…
My nose job turned out well yay….

Pug Rescue says that whilst I’m still working on a few of my fear based behavioural quirks that I have from being a pandemic pup..
I’m only 2 &1/2 so lockdown was basically all of when I was growing up…
My quirks shouldn’t prevent me being an amazing edition to a furever home as I learn really fast and I am a big sook…
I do a great job out on training walks and have learnt not to pull and instead of being afraid of people and wanting to yell hello at them I get yummy treats…
And told I’m a good girl and sweet…..

I like running around the house and garden and relaxing in bed…
And watching tv whilst having someone pat my tummy and head…
So anyway…
If I sound like the girl for you send an adoption enquiry my way…

Loco sleeps in a crate either by herself or with another dog.  She will go into it when asked.
Loco is toilet trained and will hold on till she goes outside.
Loco has learnt to walk well on a lead, harness and martingale collar.  She occasionally can be a little overwhelmed with new things and will go to bark but using treats she quickly regains focus and wont bark/stops barking.
Loco travels in a crate in the car.
Loco knows how to sit, drop, shake paw and wait and will wait until told it’s ok to eat.

Loco’s furever home wishes:

♥ FENCING – Loco can jump very high and is most likely capable of scaling fencing that has horizontal beams.  She requires secure brick or colourbond fencing that is at least 6ft and doesn’t have anything leaning up/right up against it.
♥CATS – No!  Loco has lived with a cat before that she grew up with but we feel that in a new home she would try to chase and annoy a cat/s.
