Osbert the little senior teddy bear puggy boy who was treated like one person’s 10 year old trash that was discarded as an unclaimed stray at a major pound…
Says don’t let his grey hair fool or twisty leg you he now is quick on his feet now that Pug Rescue has fixed him up and he really is a treasure that anyone would adore having around…
This senior puggy boy….
Hopes that his silver streaks help find him a furever home that he guarantees to fill with puggy joy ….
Even with nearly 3kg of weight lost Osbert would open mouth breathe and make typical obstructed airway noises, so he underwent specialist BOAS -“Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” surgery performed by Dr Ben and the Melbourne Animal Referral Services Team….
Folded flap palatoplasty surgery technique to thin and trim his soft palates, tonsillectomy to remove his enlarged tonsils, sacculectomy to remove everted saccules and the ala-vestibuloplasty technique to widen his nostrils/nares which were some of the most stenotic we have seen..
Osbert also underwent X-rays of his front legs as he has carpal valgus bowing…
There is a bit of arthritis showing…
Undergoing a major dental at Knox Vet Clinic to freshen his mouth…
Dr Laura cleaned lots of tartar off Osbert’s teeth and took 7 of them out…
Osbert said thanks to the Knox Vet Team for the pats…
Having fresh breath makes him a happy chap…
A trip to eye specialists Melbourne Eye Vet and Osbert has some pigment on his eyes, so daily eye drops are administered easily to him by foster mum….
Of course he gets a treat when he’s done…
Osbert’s says his vet bills have reached over $4,500+ but he’s deserves to live a happy life…
And without Pug Rescue his senior years would have been in strife…
Osbert loves to cuddle up to his pug friends and is very social…
Walkies and car rides he loves and whilst yes, he is grey and has a bendy leg his gets around quickly so don’t let his looks fool you…
A very good boy who loves everyone and everything…
And playing with soft toys brings lots of joy to him…
This treasure can’t wait to find himself a retirement home to relax in…
So, if you are looking for a treasure to add to your family…
Why don’t you adopt Osbert or as some might like to call him Ozzy…
He says please send through an adoption enquiry through….
As he’s waiting for you!
