Female Blue Fawn Pied Desexed French Bulldog – 6.5kg
Microchip Number: #953010007911038
DOB: 16/06/2025
RE108835
I’d take her in a heartbeat, no questions, no delay….
Sweet little Frenchie Maya would brighten any day…
She hopes to hear many people say, ‘I’m applying to adopter her today’!
Blue fawn pied beauty, just 6.5kg light…
With a soft gentle nature and a spirit that’s bright…
She’s still just a puppy, with a heart full of play…
A young little soul finding joy every day…
She’ll curl up for cuddles, then zoom into play…
Wrestling and chasey to burn joy through the day….
Her toys are her treasure, she’ll toss them with pride…
Then trot back for pats right by your side…..
She’s crate trained and clever, knows “sit” like a pro…
And out on her walks she’s happy to go…
Toilet pad or outdoors, she’s easy to guide….
Just give her routine and she’ll settle with pride….
With pug boyfriends she’ll play and sleep, but she won’t be a pushover too…
She’ll set gentle boundaries as she knows who’s boss and what to do…
Soft hearted and sassy, a perfect blend…
A loyal small shadow, a true little friend…
But Maya’s story is one of courage and care….
A puppy who’s faced more than most ever bear….
Born with a heart condition called severe pulmonic stenosis so she’s tough…
Her heart kept working when it simply didn’t have the pipework to allow blood through enough…
She’s had echo scans with VetWaves and CardioRespiratory Pet Referrals and a CT scan with Melbourne Animal Referral Services to diagnose her condition and plan her care…
Then balloon valvuloplasty surgery at Greencross University Vet Hospital gave her a chance….
With specialist hands and a carefully timed advance…..
Cardiologist Dr Richard Woolley and the cardiology team….
Helped give this small girl a new life to dream….
Her valve was opened, blood flow improved…
And suddenly Maya felt lighter, more moved….
But her pulmonic artery is still very small…
A lifelong condition she carries and currently shows no signs of at all…
Yet through all of this, she still wants to play…
To walk and to cuddle and greet every day…
Her spirit outshines what her body has known…
A joyful small heart that has fully grown….
She’s had her desexing at Tooronga Veterinary Hospital too…
Handled like everything else she goes through…
With recovery smooth and her body still wiggling…
No slowing her down, no sadness lagging…
So if you’re the one who can offer her space….
Gentle routine and a loving embrace….
You won’t just be adopting a very special dog in need…
You’ll be gaining a heart full of courage and speed….
A girl who will love you with all that she’s got…
Maya is magic in a tiny Frenchie dot….
Maya sleeps in an indoor crate that she shares with a pug. She loves to cuddle with him.
Maya is toilet trained and will either use puppy pads or outside.
Maya walks well on a lead and harness.
Maya knows how to sit and wait.
Maya’s furever home wishes:
♥ OTHER FRENCH BULLDOG – IDEALY YES! Maya came to us from a litter of frnechies and has always had a constant pug foster brother companion with us. She loves to cuddle and play with other dogs and thrives with company. Whilst we are open to considering different types of homes for Maya we are unsure how she would cope as a single dog as she barks and howl when seperated from her foster brother and absolutley adores playing with him and other pugs. In terms of a companion French Bulldog we would say she is seeking a fit active male Frenchie of a similar age and size (approx between 1 to 3 years and 9kg and under) that is well socalised and non reactive as a companion. Maya will not be rehomed with other female dogs nor other completely different breeds of dogs nor much larger or much older dogs.
♥ HUMANS – Maya is seeking humans that can show her positive leadership and shower her with love.
♥KIDS – Maya may be ok with school aged dog savvy kids.
♥FENCING – Maya requires secure brick, timber or colourbond fencing.
♥CATS – Unsure.
♥EXERCISE – A walk a day plus lots of play time.
♥WORKING HOURS – Not suitable for homes where she would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Maya absolutely requires air-condition.
♥Access to the inside of her house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥HOUSE & YARD SIZE/TYPE – Maya would do best in a home that has a yard she can do zoomies in.
Medical notes:
Maya has been desexed and undergone spinal xrays at Tooronga Veterinary hospital. She has some hemivertebrae which are non clinical at this stage.
Maya is C5 vaccinated, microchipped and wormed.
Maya has undergone specialist heart surgery “ballon valvuloplasty” and whilst this surgery has improved her life quality unfortunately it was not able to correct her narrowed pulmonic artery. Please read specialist notes below:
“””””Unfortunately there has only been a mild decrease in pulmonic pressures post pulmonic
balloon valvuloplasty most likely due to the contributing narrowing of the pulmonic artery.
Survival times are approximately 5-7 years however this can be variable.
Please continue the atenolol 1mg/kg PO q12h ongoing.
Maya’s owner is to monitor for signs of right sided congestive heart failure.
A repeat echocardiogram would be advised in 12 months time to monitor the progression of
the right sided cardiac changes and a more accurate prognosis can be given.
Thank you for referring this case and please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any
further assistance with this or any other case.
Kind regards,
Dr Kathryn Farquharson and Dr Richard Woolley”””””’
