Male Apricot Desexed Pug X  – 8.4kg
Microchip Number: 953010004400495
DOB: 22/12/2019
RE108835

Dougie the handsome delightfully goofy puggy boy…
Is ready to find his furever home to fill with his joy…
This handsome puggy man is sweet as can be….
He does amazing head tilts, has beautiful wrinkles and his little tail is so curly…

Dougie arrived into Pug Rescue very overweight, suffering with anxiety, suffering with severe BOAS and wondering what was going on after being used as a breeding dog that was then sold off…
In Pug Rescue care he’s had a massive life make over and learnt lots…
Lots of behavioural training to stop him needing to fret and bark at every sound and pee everywhere…
He now is a relaxed boy, who knows right from wrong, loves to socalise and play with other doggies and toss his toys everywhere…
As well as playing chasey and wrestling and with toys he loves his walkies too…
And snuggling up on a doggy bed or a couch is what he loves to do…

3kg+ of weight loss has occurred and he looks like a different puggie…
Well done Dougie!
Dougie’s breathing was absolutely terrible (it’s horrendous that he was used as a breeding dog) and he would pant and make horrible gasping noises due to BOAS “Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” so Pug Rescue granted him specialist airway surgery by Dr Ben at Melbourne Animal Referral Services including trimming and reduce the thickness of his soft palate, a tonsillectomy and widening of his extremely stenotic nostrils/nares…
After two weeks of crate resting and hand feeding he is so happy that he can more freely breathe air….

Happy, soft natured and so attentive Dougie is……
He loves everyone and everything including kids…
Fit, happy and mentally and physically healthy Dougie says thank you…
To Pug Rescue for everything you do…
He hopes that there is a family home out there who is looking for a handsome boy like him…
If he sounds like the boy for you, please send an adoption enquiry in….
