Ollie

2011 – Ollie is such a pretty boy.  He waggles his whole body with excitement and just loves to love.  Coming into our care due to a change in circumstance with his previous family Ollie has not looked back.  In his fantastic new home, who are experienced pug owners, he has daily walks to keep him happy and healthy a dad that he adores, mum that dotes on him and two skin siblings who let him share their beds with them at night.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Jay-Jay & Sumo

2011 – Jay Jay & Sumo are such a cheeky pair of brothers who love each other to pieces.  Their play times of puggy wrestling matches are absolutely hilarious. Coming into our care when their previous owners were unable to care for them these boys can count themselves very lucky.  Sumo underwent expensive surgery (medial corner closures to both eyes) at Animal Eye Care to stop his eyelashes rubbing on his corneas and causing pigmentary keratitis (brown scaring) to form. He is now on daily eye drops to help remove the pigment that is already on his eyes and amazingly lost close to 5kg thanks to his dedicated foster parents.  Jay-Jay may be small but he is a fighter and amazingly we were to find that this little boy spent the first 1.5 years of his life with a cleft pallet.  We are very thankful that our talented vets were able to repair this defect and enable Jay-Jay to eat normally for the first time in his life.  Jay-Jay & Sumo were lucky enough to have their photo featured in The Sunday Herald Sun as part of The PEDIGREE & PetRescue Adoption Drive.  Their fantastic new mum and dad, who had previous owned a pug, were just about to go out and buy two puppies when they came across our pair of boys and the rest is history for these much loved boys.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Gus

2011 – Gus is a little spunky black pug that manages to steal a piece of everyone’s heart .  Gus loves to give the cutest little tap dance when he is excited and boy does he love to sit on laps.  Arriving in our care when his previous owner realised they were unable to care for him in the way a puggy needs Gus battled his itchy scratchy skin condition whilst in our care but we are happy to say he is mostly drug free these days.  His loving new home has oh so many laps for him to sit and snuggle on and understands this special little black puggies needs.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Mimi

2011 – Mimi is a delight.  She loves to puggy scuttle, play catch me if you can and amusingly is a great fly catcher. Mimi came into our care when her previous owner realised they were not providing her with the lifestyle a pug needs.  Mimi was purchased as a puppy from a major pet store chain who along with other misinformation informed her owner that pugs don’t need much attention; we know Mimi was born in a puppy factory.  Luckily Mimi has landed on her feet in her wonderful new home.  Her lovely new parents were only just getting over the passing of their own Mimi, a very special blind pug girl who was the love of their life, when they saw our Mimi needed a home.  Amazingly they decided our Mimi had to be their new Mimi and now she is and living the life of a very spoilt princess.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Polly

2011 – Polly the personality plus pug.  If there is something to be investigated or a lap to be sat on Polly is first in best dressed.   Polly came into our care when her previous owner realised that life living in a kennel outside was not how a pug should live.  Thanks to her great foster mum and dad Polly overcame her yeasty infections and lost some much needed weight.  With her teeth sparkling from a dental and eyes much happier and healthier from a nip and tuck and special eye drops Polly managed to find herself a fantastic family all to herself.  She delights them with her quirky little puggy ways and showers them with kisses daily to show her appreciation to them for giving her the best home a puggy could every wish for.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Boris

2011 – Boris, pug x, is a cheeky puppy! Boris is so full of energy and waggles his curly tail every chance that he gets.   He arrived into our care from a puppy factory scared and in a shocking state with untreated demodex mange and one of the worst undescended testicles our vet has ever had to remove.  Thanks to his dedicated foster mum and dad Boris’s demodex mange thankfully  was resolved , with many months of medical treatment, and his love of life was able to shine through.  Daily walks to the doggy park are so much fun for Boris in his new home.  His mum thinks that he is the most beautiful boy in the world and of course we would have to agree.   More of Boris’s story and photos can be found HERE

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Gabi

2011 –  Gabi is a such a little goer. This girl knows how to sit, drop, shake hands and heal.  She is as cheeky as they come and charms everyone with her sweetness.  She now has a cheeky black younger puggy brother to wrestle, puggy scuttle and snuggle with and a mum and dad who think she is their little princess.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Candy & Lolli

2011 – Candy & Lolli , pug x’s, came to us as very  scared girls from a breeding establishment, Candy’s lack of hearing would have made things even scarier for her.  Petrified of everything and everyone they would hide in the garden laying in holes they would dig to try and protect themselves from the scary world.  Slowly over time, thanks to their dedicated foster families these girls slowly learnt to trust the world, people and learnt that living in a family home was pretty good after all.  The girls learnt that couches were a great place to sit, toys were great fun to play with and tv was even interesting to watch.  Candy & Lolli were in care for many many months whilst they rehabbed and waited for a very special forever home to come along and that it did.  Candy & Lolli’s new amazing extended family have opened their hearts and home to these special pair of sisters and have continued to help them blossom and grow.  Their mum and dad can’t imagine life without the girls, who sleep on their bed  and sit on their couch which is a far cry from hiding in holes in a garden,  and we are sure the girls can’t imagine life without them either.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Waffle

2011 – Waffle’s for breakfast, Waffle’s for lunch and Waffle’s for tea! A day filled with play is this delightfully happy little puggy girls goal.  Her previous owner realised they were unable to cope with her puppy needs and knew we would be able to find Miss Waffle a perfect new home and that we did.  Daily walks, an open fire to lay by in the winter, a vet nurse as mum, a doting dad and a puggy brother, who was also a rescue puggy, to play and romp with = perfect to us and Waffle so it seems as she just can’t stop smiling.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Bonnie

2010 – Bonnie loves to Wooo Wooo Wooo.  Bonnie boo is just adorable with her stumpy little tail and big googly eyes nobody can resist her.  Entering our care with very limited vision due to pigmentary keratitis a trip to Animal Eye Care and special eye drops to try and remove the thick scaring was necessary.  Bonnie couldn’t ask for a better forever home with two puggies as siblings, and an adoring mum who lets her sleep on her bed at night and provides her with everything and anything she could ever ask for.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Beau

2010 – Beau is as cheeky as he is cute and although many have been fooled by this adorable little puggies innocent face.  Beau came into our care with maggots on his back and head and also with an obsessive circling condition.  He had somehow received wounds or developed hot spots that flies laid eggs in and hey presto maggots appeared.   After shaving his back and head (removing the infection) Beau’s skin slowly healed and his hair grew back.  Beau’s wonderful new mum adores her little cheeky puggy boy and he returns the love with lots of puggy cuddles and kisses.  Beau’s mum will do anything to him and he has even been lucky enough to have doggy chiropractic sessions to help loosen and relax his tight muscles caused by years of circling.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Ruby

2010 – Ruby is such a cute little miss princess puggy who is always on the go and loves to know what is going on.  Previously rehomed by Pug Rescue her doting dad sadly passed away so of course we were more than happy to take this cheeky confident girl back into care.  Wow did she land on her feet in her amazing new home.  She has her own stay at home grandpa, a fantastic mum who thinks she is perfect and such an adorable big boxer brother to enjoy walks with and cuddle with.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Charlie

2010 – Charlie is one little happy chappy who makes everybody smile with his happy go lucky persona.   Coming into our care when his family’s lifestyle changed this happy boy loves playing with his toys and romping with anyone and everything  that care to join him.  He now has a mum and dad who adore him and two human brothers who delight in taking him for walks and sneaking him into their beds for cuddles. His adoring family can’t believe their luck in having Charlie come into their lives but we think that Charlie is pretty lucky to have them let them join their lives.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Buster

2010 – Buster, 9.5 years, is every so faithful and loyal.  He was saved from death in a NSW pound where his owners had abandoned him. Many thanks go to the Albury pound staff and Albury rescue group who organised his transport down to Melbourne.  After having 16 teeth removed from his rotting mouth (the worst rotting mouth we have ever seen and so painful for Buster that he had to constantly dribble) and learning that he has no need to trot in obsessive circles Buster is now feeling and smelling a whole lot better. His wonderful new home comes complete with doting mum and senior Border Collie as a best buddy.  We think Buster is one very luck boy to be given a second chance at life and so does he.

_________________________________________________________________________________________

Harry

2010 – Harry is about as adorable as pugs come and boy does he know it.  Smooshing his head into anyone he can in the search for pats.  Coming into our care after his owner realised she was unable to provide the lifestyle a pug requires, we managed to trace back that he was originally from a puppy factory but was unable to sire puppies so was on sold.  Harry now has his very own stay at home mum that he helps around the house with and his very own puggy sister that he can cuddle with.
