Mindy here and I’m seeking furever love and fun….
In the form of a furever dad and or mum….
I’m just over one and my new life has just begun…
I’m expert at being cheeky, head tilts and wiggling my tail and bum…
I love wrestle with my puggy friends and do zoomies with them making silly sounds…
I have learnt how to sit and wait with my bottom on the ground…
I like getting picked up and sitting on laps…
I love having a cuddle and a pat…
And I am getting used to suburban life and sounds, I lived in the country previously, but sometimes still have a few moments of wondering what is that…
Pug Rescue has seriously done everything…
Including getting me to lose over 2kg so I am fit and thin…
I’m only a tiny girl weighing 5kg now…
I make all the puggy boys go wow…
I had my vaccination, underwent a dental, ear infection treatment and was desexed/speyed at Knox Vet when I arrived into care…
My breathing was quite bad and I really was struggling to get in air…
So at Patterson River Veterinary Centre Dr Alex of Melbourne Animal Referral Services/ Geelong Animal Referral Service Team performed BOAS “Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” surgery involving a folded palatoplasty to thin and trim my very long and thick, soft palate, a tonsillectomy to remove my big tonsils, a sacculectomy to remove my everted laryngeal saccules and widened my extremely stenotic nostrils/nares…
Dr Alex said I had laryngeal collapse, so I am thankful that I was gifted my specialist airway surgery very quickly by Pug Rescue…
So that I can make the most of the airway I have to breathe through…
I crate rested and was hand fed soft food and meds for two weeks after my airway surgery which I complained a bit about…
Because I’m still only a puppy who wants to be crazy and run about…
I’m searching for a furever home that understands my long term needs and care…
And of course, can deal with some extra fibers of magical puggy hair…
I simply must have a puggy boyfriend in my new home..
Pug Rescue says if you don’t have one for me they have plenty of boys looking for furever homes and I can bring my own…

Mindy is toilet trained but may have accidents in a new home to begin with.
Mindy is happy to sleep in a crate with another pug or a doggy bed with another pug.
Mindy is getting used to walking on a lead and harness and does best with a confident walker besides her.
Mindy is fine in a crate in the car.
Mindy’s furever home wishes:
♥ OTHER DOG – YES! Mindy has always lived with other pugs. Mindy is a very little very active girl and seeking a well socalised similar aged healthy small statured desexed male pug (between 1 to 3 years). Mindy will not be rehomed with other female pugs/dogs. Mindy will not be rehomed as a single pug. Mindy will not be rehomed with another breed of dog. Mindy will not be rehomed with a pug that is much older than her or with a much larger or overweight pug.
♥ HUMANS – Mindy is seeking humans that can keep up with her and that can show her positive leadership. Mindy is very much still a puppy and is still learning about the big wide world. Mindy will tatrum and be manic but will also be unsure and worried/overwhelmed by things. Mindy absolutely can never be made by her humans to become overweight!!!!
♥KIDS – Yes. Mindy would be fine with children who are respectful to dogs. Kids that scream and shout Mindy would find a bit scary.
♥FENCING – Mindy as with all of our pugs requires secure brick, timber or colourbond fencing.
♥CATS – Unsure but probably not.
♥EXERCISE – Mindy requires at least a 15 to 20 minute walk a day plus play times. Mindy is not going to be a pug that you take on big, long adventure walks.
♥WORKING HOURS – Not suitable for homes where she would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Mindy absolutely requires air-condition.
♥Access to the inside of her house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥HOUSE & YARD SIZE/TYPE – Mindy may be fine in a house/townhouse with a smaller yard but she does need somewhere to do zoomies.
Medical notes:
- Mindy has undergone desexing and vaccination at Knox Vet.
- Mindy has undergone a minor dental at Knox Vet.
- Mindy has been treated for ear infections at Knox Vet.
- Mindy has undergone specialist airway surgery by Dr Alex of Melbourne Animal Referral Services (folded palatoplasty to trim and reduce the thickness of her soft palate, widening of her nares/nostrils, removal of her everted laryngeal saccules and tonsillectomy) Mindy has pretty typical laryngeal collapse (many pugs have this but it has not been diagnosed because they have not undergone airway surgery). Mindy must never become overweight or overheat.
- Mindy has lost 2.5kg (she was 7.5kg and is now 5kg)
- Mindy is desexed, C5 vaccinated, is microchipped & up to date with her worming & flea prevention.
