Merigold is as sweet as can be…
And searching for her furever family….
A happy bubbly soft natured 7 month old girl….
Who has lovely wrinkles, an apricot coat and a beautiful tail curl…..
Merigold’s former family could not keep her, but she has fitted into Pug Rescue foster care perfectly…
We haven’t heard her bark or carry on and boy does she love to play with puggy friends especially wrestling and chasey….
Toys of course Merigold loves, and she enjoys her walkies too…
She comes when called, is getting the hang of going outside to toilet, curls up to sleep with her friends, loves cuddles and pats and sits when asked woo hoo…
Merigold is only young but she did huff and puff so Pug Rescue granted her specalist BOAS “Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” specialist surgery to ensure she has a lifetime of the best breathing possible……
Dr Ben at Melbourne Animal Referral Services performed her BOAS surgery including a folded palatoplasty to trim and reduce the thickness of her long soft palate, a tonsillectomy and widening of her stenotic nostrils/nares…
Merigold was also desexed/speyed and after two weeks of crate resting, meds and hand feeding she is bouncing around and more freely breathing air…..

MERIGOLD XXX
Merigold is happy to be crated with another pug or sleep on a doggy bed with another pug.
Merigold is working on her toilet training.
Merigold walks great on a lead and harness and isn’t reactive. If anything she may be a little timid with things she doesn’t understand. She is crated in the car.
Merigold knows how to sit and wait and wait until told it’s ok to eat.
Merigold’s furever home wishes:
♥ ANOTHER PUG – YES! Merigold absolutely needs a male puggy friend to hang with and snuggle with. Merigold is seeking a similar aged healthy male desexed pug (between 1 to 3 years) that is well socalised and non reactive as a companion. Merigold will not be rehomed with other female pugs/dogs. Merigold will not be rehomed as a single pug.
♥ HUMANS – Merigold is seeking humans that can show her positive leadership and routine as she is still really a puppy.
♥KIDS – Merigold would be fine with young children who are respectful to dogs. She is very soft natured and is working on her jumping.
♥FENCING – Merigold as with all of our pugs requires secure brick, timber or colourbond fencing.
♥CATS – Unsure.
♥EXERCISE – Merigold requires at least a 30 minute walk a day plus play times.
♥WORKING HOURS – Not suitable for homes where she would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Merigold absolutely requires air-condition.
♥Access to the inside of his house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥HOUSE & YARD SIZE/TYPE – Merigold would suit most homes with a yard.

Merigold has undergone desexing and specialist BOAS airway surgery by Dr Ben at Melbourne Animal Referral Services (folded palatoplasty, widening of nares/nostrils and tonsillectomy)
Merigold is desexed, C5 vaccinated, is microchipped & up to date with her worming & flea prevention.
