A total happy go lucky clown who’s adores everything about life…
Along with her pretty face and sleek body she also comes with the best personality to match…
Chilli is honestly faultless and we rate her as the pawfect Frenchie catch…
One year old Chilli joined us from a major/shelter pound…
We think that she was taken there because she grew too big, most likely was bred from and then became too much work for someone that was not much around..
Chilli was transferred into Pug Rescue care for specific brachy breed care…
We could straight away see that she would need BOAS surgery to help her breathing more air…
But also, could straight away tell she is the bestest girl ever who gets along so well with everyone…
She sometimes doesn’t know her size and strength but anyone with Frenchie experience should understand this says her foster mum…
Chilli absolutely love to play chase and wrestle with other frenchies and dogs her size, bounce on couches and human beds, go walkies, play fetch and tug of war with soft and hard toys and did we mention she loves to run…
Chilli loves cuddles and pats and yep she also thinks walkies are very much fun..
Chilli has been desexed and hip and knee xrays done….
She has undergine BOAS “Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” surgery performed by Dr Ben and the MARS – Melbourne Animal Referral Services Team which will help ensure she has a long lifetime of improved breathing seeing that she’s only just turned one…
Dr Ben shortened & thinned Chill’s soft palette via the folded flap palatoplasty technique, tonsils and saccules were removed and stenotic nares widened which now means Chilli can more freely get air in…
Chilli is very pleased to say that after a few weeks of resting and meds she is back to zooming around and living life with her new improved breathing …

Chilli sleeps either in an indoor crate or on a doggy bed that she is happy to share.
Chilli is toilet trained and will hold on to go outside.
Chilli pulls a little to start with but does walk well on a lead and harness.
Chilli knows how to sit and wait.
Chilli’s furever home wishes:
♥ OTHER FRENCH BULLDOG – YES! Chilli is in foster with other Frenchies. She loves to cuddle and play with other dogs and thrives with company. Chilli is is a big boofy girl but very fit. She is seeking a fit active female Frenchie/dog of a similar aged and sized (approx between 1 to 3 years) that is well socalised and non reactive as a companion. Chilli will not be rehomed with other female dogs nor other completely different breeds of dogs. Chilli will not be rehomed as a single dog.
♥ HUMANS – Chilli is seeking humans that can show her positive leadership and shower her with love.
♥KIDS – Chilli is a big boof so dog savvy kids.
♥FENCING – Chilli requires secure brick, timber or colourbond fencing. Cilli can spring up and jump thigh high fencing.
♥CATS – Unsure.
♥EXERCISE – Requires at least a 20+ minute walk a day plus lots of play time.
♥WORKING HOURS – Not suitable for homes where she would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Chilli absolutely requires air-condition.
♥Access to the inside of her house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥HOUSE & YARD SIZE/TYPE – Chilli would do best in a home that has a yard she can do zoomies in.
Medical notes:
Chilli has undergone specialist BOAS airway surgery by Dr Ben of MARS (folded palatoplasty to trim and reduce the thickness of her soft palate, widening of her nares/nostrils and tonsillectomy)
Chilli has undergone hip and knee xrays and Dr Ben noted she has low grade luxating patellas and hip dysplasia both of which do not need surgery.
Chilli is desexed, C5 vaccinated, is microchipped & up to date with her worming & flea prevention.
