Female Black ANKC Pedigree Pug – 5.6kg
Microchip Number: #953010000994143
DOB: 15/05/2016

Tina is a pocket rocket princess puggy ready to start her new life…
This cheeky little girl has now had $6.5k spent on her as she came into Pug Rescue care with no vet work completed and was in lots of strife…..
She had matted hair, severe BOAS, an obvious mast cell tumour, wonky walking, infected ears, was undesexed and had massive behavioural issues including screaming and barking constantly and was very much lacking manners and social skills as well…
But after months of Pug Rescue bootcamp, much vet care and surgeries and rehab Tina has gone from drab to fab which she thinks is swell….

Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome – BOAS surgery to widen her nostrils, remove her tonsils and thin and shorten her soft pallet and successful mast cell cancer removal surgery from her back was performed by Dr Ricky and the Geelong Animal Referral Services Team along with pathology which showed clear margins were achieved for the mast cell removal..
Ear infection treatment along with blood tests Tina underwent desexing, a major dental removing many yucky teeth and spine and hip X-rays showing she has funny hips were all performed at Knox Vet Clini by Dr Laura after blood test round two..

After recovering from all of her surgeries Tina has continued her behavioural rehab and now has very nice manners which we tell her are nice to have….
She loves being part of the action and will use a doggy door with ease, will sit and wait, will go into a crate if asked and even understands doggy steps for the couch….
As sitting up watching tv with the humans she thinks is grouse…
She now understand how to play and have fun with puggy friends and loves to cuddle up in bed with a foster puggy brother when the day ends…
A toy or two are a bit of fun…
And of course walkies she loves with foster mum….
She could easily fit into the cafe lifestyle and sit drinking her pugachino waggling her little tail at everyone….

A true little black puggy princess looking for her prince puggy and furever castle to live out the rest of her days loved and adored..
A furever mum and or dad to dote on her and maybe some smaller humans to hold her paw…
So if Tina’s little face…
Tugs at your heart strings and you think she might fit into your place….
Please send an adoption enquiry through…
And make this little puggy girls rehabilitation journey worth all the hard work for our rescue group and make Tina’s furever home dreams come true…

TINA XXX

Tina either sleeps on an indoor doggy bed that she is happy to share with another pug. She is also very happy to sleep/relax in a crate with or without another pug.
Tina is toilet trained.
Tina walks well on a lead and harness and isn’t reactive and is fine in the car.
Tina knows how to sit and wait and wait until told it’s ok to eat.

Tina’s furever home wishes:

♥ OTHER PUG – YES! Tina will not be rehomed as a single dog. She has had her life dramatically improved by the powers of learning how to be a dog and socalise and play with other pugs. She must have a home with a desexed, healthy, not overweight, well trained and very well socialised outgoing but non reactive male pug of a similar age to herself. (approx 7 years to 9 years old)
♥ HUMANS – Tina is seeking humans that can provide her with good leadership. She is extremely responsive to being shown the correct way to do things and to routine. Tina also needs humans that will not overfeed her.
♥KIDS – Tina would be fine with younger children who are respectful to dogs.
♥FENCING – Tina with all of our pugs requires secure brick, timber or colourbond fencing. She is not suited to fencing that can be seen through.
♥CATS – Unsure. Maybe dog savvy.
♥EXERCISE – Tina loves her walks and adventures and requires at least a 15 minute walk a day.
♥WORKING HOURS – Not suitable for homes where she would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Tina absolutely requires air-condition.
♥Access to the inside of her house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥HOUSE & YARD SIZE/TYPE: Tina would like a home with a yard but may be ok in a townhouse/unit with a larger yard area.

Medical notes:

Tina has undergone specialist airway surgery “BOAS” surgery by Dr Ricky of Geelong Animal Referral Service (folded palatoplasty to trim and reduce the thickness of her soft palate, widening of her nares/nostrils and tonsillectomy). Tina has laryngeal collapse but actually now breathes better and makes little to no noise, We know that Tina has laryngeal collapse as we gift the majority of our pugs BOAS surgery whereas the vast majority of pugs in general society also have laryngeal collapse that is undiagnosed due to them not having to had a specialist examine their airways.

Tina has undergone successful mast cell removal from her back at GARS. Path results came back as low grade and clear margins.

Tina has undergone vet check, vaccination and ear infection treatment, desexing and spine and hip xrays at Knox Vet. Tina has hip dysplasia which again the general public would not notice but because we are very good at picking up altered gaits we xrayed her.

Tina is desexed, C5 vaccinated, is microchipped & up to date with her worming & flea prevention.
