Male Black Desexed Pug – 7.9kg
Microchip Number: #900079000093727
DOB: 26/05/2017
RE108835

Winky the puggy with the one eye…
Says don’t let his wink fool you as he’s a totally normal happy guy..
A lovable easy going 8 year old boy who loves living life and joining in with everything….
From walkies, playing chasey, getting cuddles and tummy rubs, car rides, jumping up onto chairs and couches Winky doesn’t miss a thing …..

Finding himself in a shelter and rescue situation for the second time in his life…
He was transferred into Pug Rescue care to ensure that his brachy health and rehoming needs are done right….
In Pug Rescue care he’s worked successfully on some separation anxiety and socalising…
As well as losing nearly 3kg of weight (was 10.7kg now 7.9kg) to turn him from overweight to fit and thin…

Winky underwent a major dental by Dr Sharon at Knox Vet with 8 teeth removed and lots of tartar cleaned off to make his breath fresh for everyone……
A trip to eye specialists Melbourne Eye Vet and Winky has some pigment on his eye, so daily eye drops are administered easily to him by foster mum….
Winky’s breathing was labored and his nostrils were extremely small due to BOAS “Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” so of course, along with a small growth from his eyelid being removed, Pug Rescue granted him specialist airway surgery by Dr Ben at Melbourne Animal Referral Services including a folded palatoplasty to trim and reduce the thickness of his very long soft palate, a tonsillectomy and widening of his stenotic nostrils/nares…
After two weeks of crate resting and hand feeding he no longer struggles for air….

Winky just loves to be around with his people and does really well with other pug mates…
He likes to cuddle up to his foster pug friends as they make him feel alright…
He knows how to sit and wait…
And yes of course thinks walkies are great…
He would prefer to ride on the front or back seat of the car and loves soft beds but if needed he can also go in a crate he said…
Winky isn’t really a toy fan…
But it doesn’t mean that he isn’t a cheeky playful man…

So if you are looking for a handsome one eyed puggy boy to love…
Winky says pick me as he can’t wait to get your hugs…
He says please send through an adoption enquiry through….
As he’s waiting for you!

WINKY XXX

Winky sleeps on a doggy bed that he shares with another pugs. He can also be crated if needed
Winky is toilet trained.
Winky walks great on a lead and harness and isn’t reactive. Due to having one eye he can however be a bit blind on that side. He is car crated but would be fine on a doggy seatbelt.
Winky knows how to sit and wait and wait until told it’s ok to eat and also goes to bed when asked.

Winky’s furever home wishes:

♥ ANOTHER PUG – YES! Winky absolutely needs a female puggy friend to hang with and snuggle with. Winky is seeking a similar aged healthy female desexed pug  (between 7 to 10 years) that is well socalised and non reactive as a companion.  Winky will not be rehomed with other male pugs/dogs. Winky will not be rehomed as a single pug.  Winky will not be rehomed with other breeds of dogs.
♥ HUMANS – Winky is seeking humans that can show him positive leadership and routine.  Winky can never be made by his humans to become overweight!!!!
♥KIDS – Winky would be fine with young children who are respectful to dogs. He has previoulsy lived with teenagers.
♥FENCING – Winky as with all of our pugs requires secure brick, timber or colourbond fencing.
