Maddie loves showing off her the toothy grin…
As if to say thank you for helping me and now at the age of 12 my life is just beginning…
This little senior lady is full of sass and cheek which includes doing woo woo woo’s …
She knows what she wants, and when she wants it, she will tell you ..
At nearly 12 years old Maddie was left by extremely selfish cruel people to get into a horrific state with absolutely stinking horrendous severe dental disease, chronic ear infections which were oozing blood and pus, obese, wonky legs, growth on bum & then abandoned in a house all alone…
Even though from years of experience in dealing with absolutely selfish people like Maddie’s old humans we knew how bad she would be we still went took the time and effort to collect her from that home…
Her old owners fakely professed their love for her donated $0 and wiped their hands taking no responsibility of the absolute horrendous mess they obviously believe a rescue group and our supporters should raise $5,000+ for vet care and deal with…
They have never even said thank you for helping Maddie they are such completely self entitled dimwits..
After weeks and weeks of weekly ear medication Maddie had her massive surgery day at Knox Vet Clinic where they gave her medicine to make her sleepy…
From just seeing and smelling Maddie’s altered hind leg gait, chronic ear infection & horrendous breath we knew she had been extremely and very unnecessarily neglected and her chronic issues were bad…
But what was found when Maddie underwent her dental, ear flush, X-rays and lump removal, with Dr Sharon, should make everyone extremely mad & sad…
Teeth so rotted and decayed that they have started reabsorbing into Maddie’s rotted gums, 16 putrid rotted teeth removed, years of gunk flushed from her ears & severe hip dysplasia and horrendous osteoarthritis in both her hips and both knees..
Maddie’s X-rays are basically the worst case that the vets have seen…
Yes the 2kg of weightloss we have gotten off Maddie has helped her walking but it’s seriously amazing that she now gets around ok…
As if she was a younger dog or human hip replacements and knee replacement surgery would be what specialists recommendations would say…
Her lump biopsy results came back as nothing to worry about so we are happy with that…
Maddie says she is enjoying her fresh new mouth, clean ears & not being fat…
Whilst Maddie might be a senior girl she is always on the go and doesn’t miss anything…
Despite her wonky hips and knees she can go up and down small steps, jumps onto raised beds and still trots along quite fast for walkies time (even joining in on a recent pub crawl!) which is amazing!
Maddie has a lovely happy nature and gets along with her middle aged to senior puggy foster friends brilliantly…
If she’s not joining in on whatever is going on she can be found snuggling with a puggy friend which is lovely to see…..
Can you offer Maddie the love of a furever family where she can potter around and sit on someone’s knee?
She says that Pug Rescue has completed all of her vet work and whilst she will need ear maintenance caring for her is very easy…
So if she sounds like the puggy girl for you…
Please send and enquiry through….
MADDIE XXX
Maddie sleeps on a doggy bed that he shares with another pugs. If needed she can be crated and will happily go into one and settle.
Maddie is toilet trained but may need to be shown that right outside the backdoor is not where you go.
Maddie will go for short walks which she loves! A doggy pram would be a good option for longer walks.
Maddie’s furever home wishes:
♥ ANOTHER PUG – YES! Maddie has enjoyed the companionship of her foster pug siblings. It would be best if she had a male puggy of a similar age as a companion. But she may suit being a third or fourth pug in a home with middle aged to senior pugs.
♥ HUMANS – Maddie is seeking humans that understand her ears will need ongoing care and to be her guardian for her senior years.
♥KIDS – Maddie may be fine with children who are respectful to dogs. The only thing to watch is she is snappy like a shark when grabbing treats and her remaining teeth can still chomp.
♥FENCING – Maddie as with all of our pugs requires secure brick, timber or colourbond fencing.
♥CATS – yes – Maddie has previously lived with a cat.
♥EXERCISE – Maddie would be happy with a short 10 to 15 minute stroll a day.
♥WORKING HOURS – Not suitable for homes where he would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Maddie absolutely requires air-condition.
♥Access to the inside of her house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥HOUSE & YARD SIZE/TYPE – Maddie needs a home that has limited stairs and landings both in the home and out in the garden. She would be fine in any sized home and yard.
Medical notes:
Maddie has undergone vaccination, ear infection treatment, ear flush, lump removal, major dental and hip and knee xrays at Knox Vet. – She requires ongoing ear care.
Maddie has hip dysplasia and arthritis in her hips and knees. – keeping her a good weight and joint supplements would be beneficial.
Maddie is desexed, C5 vaccinated, is microchipped & up to date with her worming & flea prevention.
