Male Red Desexed French Bulldog – 12.2kg
Microchip Number: 953010003729969
DOB: 26/03/2019

Fudge is the most handsomeness Frenchie boy…
And after Pug Rescue has given him, a massive life make over, he’s excited to say he’s ready to find himself a furever home to fill with joy…
Along with his handsome looks and finely toned muscular body he also comes with a social happy go lucky playful laid back personality to match…
Fudge we rate as the pawfect catch…

Six year old Fudge joined us from a major/shelter pound…
Originating in a rural council pound then transferred into town..
Apparently, he had been looking for a new home for a long time but none was found…
We suspect anyone that met him would have run away and freaked out because he was literally suffocating constantly making absolutely horrendous breathing sounds…
A very good boy who follows instructions perfectly and knows how to sit and drop..
He has a great personality and everyone who meets him loves him a lot…
He loves to play with other frenchies, bounce on couches and human beds, go walkies, play fetch and despite being a tank is great with people too…
Basically a classic lovely natured Frenchie who does what Frenchies do..

Fudge wasn’t desexed and most noticeably suffered with horrendous BOAS “ Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” which he was purposely bred & sold with, willing purchased with and then into rescue to try and fix him..
Well we at Pug Rescue are proud to say we have turned Fudges life around and he’s so much healthier and happier now which makes us grin…
Fudge underwent literally lifesaving BOAS “Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” surgery along with castration performed by Dr Ben and the MARS – Melbourne Animal Referral Services Team…
Dr Ben shortened & thinned Fudge’s soft palette via the folded flap palatoplasty technique, tonsils and saccules were removed and stenotic nares widened which now means Fudge for the first time in 6 years can more freely get air in…
Fudge’s breathing was so bad prior to surgery Dr Ben found pre and post surgery very worrying…
But we so are pleased to say Fudge’s improvement and recovery post his BOAS surgery has been absolutely amazing…
Fudge is very pleased to say that as well as his breathing improving his reflux has resolved meaning he doesn’t feel sick all the time, and he can happily eat his din dins…

Fudge hopes that his furever family is out there waiting for him…
And if he sounds like the handsome gentleman frenchie for you please send Pug Rescue an adoption enquiry in for him…
His happiness and good looks we promise will make you grin….

Fudge’s furever home wishes:

♥ OTHER FRENCH BULLDOG – YES! Fudge is in foster care with other Frenchies. He currently has a female frenchie as a bestie and he loves to play cuddle up at night to her. Fudge is a big boofy boy but now quite fit. He is seeking a fit active female Frenchie of a similar aged and sized (approx between 5 to 7 years) that is well socalised and non reactive as a companion.   Fudge will not be rehomed with other male dogs nor other completely different breeds of dogs. Fudge will not be rehomed as a single dog.
♥ HUMANS – Fudge is seeking humans that can show him positive leadership and shower him with love.
♥KIDS – Fudge is a big boof so high school aged kids would be best.
♥FENCING – Fudge requires secure brick, timber or colourbond fencing. Fudge, despite his muscle staure can spring up and jump thigh high fencing.
♥CATS – Unsure. Fudge has seen photos of cats and videos and was highly interested so probably would be better that he didn’t live with any
♥EXERCISE – Requires at least a 15+ minute walk a day.
♥WORKING HOURS – Not suitable for homes where he would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Fudge absolutely requires air-condition.
♥Access to the inside of his house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥HOUSE & YARD SIZE/TYPE – Fudge would do best in a home that has a yard he can do zoomies in.
