Male Fawn Desexed Pure Pug – kg
Microchip Number: #956000013059717
DOB: 21/06/2021

Chiko is a handsome puggy man looking for love…
He loves cuddles, ear massages and hugs….
As well as playing for toys he loves a good game of chasey, fetch and wrestling with a puggy friend….
He thinks walkies are great and struts his stuff from start to the end…..

Arriving into Pug Rescue care from a major pound/shelter Chiko’s breathing was terrible, he was just desexed, very manic and quite scared of normal day to day life..
He wouldn’t come when called and would dart around and run away as he thought he was in strife…. He had been used to breed several litters of puppies with which is just irresponsible and dumb…
As why breed more pugs with horrendous genetic healthy issues including BOAS which require corrective surgery to be done..

Chiko underwent specialist BOAS -“Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” surgery performed by specialist surgeon Dr Ben and the Melbourne Animal Referral Services Team…
Chiko coped well ad thought the day in hospital was a dream…
For the BOAS surgery the folded flap palatoplasty surgery technique was performed to thin and trim his soft palate, a tonsillectomy to remove his enlarged tonsils and the ala-vestibuloplasty technique to widen his extremely stenotic nostrils/nares…
His breathing is dramatically improved since surgery and he’s enjoying no longer huffing and puffing or gasping for air…

Chiko spent a few weeks recovering from his surgery with meds, resting and hand feeding too…
During this time, he continued to learn that he didn’t have to run away from people and coming when called was the thing to do…
Chiko now loves bing inside his foster house and can even go up and down stairs…
He no longer feels the need to be anxious or scared….

Chiko is super excited that he can now find his furever family…
That he will love dearly….
If you are looking for a handsome puggy boy, with a great head tilt, wrinkles and who’s always up for fun…
Chiko says he is the one…
Please send an enquiry through, as he hopes to be soon sitting on the lap of his new furever dad and or mum..
