DOM & CERISE

Male Fawn Desexed Pug
Microchip Number: #978000001112617
DOB: 29/09/2006

Female Fawn Desexed Pug
Microchip Number: #95600000620530
DOB: 31/12/2005

Dom & Cerise are a sight to behold….
At the grand ages of nearly 13 and 14 years old…
This senior pair….
May have grey hair…
But they are both still quick on their feet…
And oh ever so sweet….

They both love cuddles and pats…
And adore being hugged and snuggled like teddy bears on your lap…
Where one is the other soon will be…
As they have lived together for many years harmoniously….

Cerise is a Grand Campion show girl and despite some arthritis still has a perfect stride…
Dom was also part of the show scene and you can see that having Cerise by his side….
Makes face light up with pride…
Their home for the past few years was full of love…
But sadly their human mum recently joined the angels above…

In Pug Rescue care they have each visited Knox Vet and undergone a course of arthritis injections…
And they have visited the eye specialist Melbourne Eye Vet for their entropion, dry eye and pigmentary keratitis inspection….
To keep their eyes comfortable and maybe restore some vision the eye specialist placed them onto daily Tacrolimus eye drops…
Which has already helped their eyes comfort level lots…

They both love to go for a stroll and potter about the park…
And Cerise is the only one who will give a little bark..
When she knows there is food about…
Don’t forget me she puggy woo woo softly shouts..
Dom still plays with soft toys and likes chew toys as well…
We’ve seen him have little games with the other pugs in his foster home which we think for a 13 year old is swell…

Soft beds to snuggle on they love…
They always sit and sleep in the same bed giving each other hugs…
They can’t wait to find their own forever home that they ensure they will fill with senior puggy joy…
As we at Pug Rescue have to say Cerise & Dom are a truly a lovely senior puggy girl and senior puggy boy….

Dom & Cerise are toilet trained, happy to snuggle and sleep on a soft comfy bed and love their lead & harnesses.

Dom & Cerise’s furever home wishes:

♥ Dom & Cerise may be ok living with other pugs/small breed dogs but we would suggest they were 8+ year old’s and if there was another male that male is submissive and not a  late desex.  They are not suited to homes with larger breed dogs. 🙂
♥ Dom & Cerise are seeking a furever home together.  Please don’t ask for them to be seperated.
♥ Dom & Cerise are suitable for primary school aged children who are dog savvy.
♥Not suitable for homes where they would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥ Dom & Cerise would love a daily walk/outing of at least 10 minutes down at a park or they would adore trips to cafes.
♥Access to the inside of their house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥Dom & Cerise are fine with a few steps but we would suggest that their new home does not have any big steps or landings they could fall off.
♥Dom & Cerise may be suitable for apartments, units, townhouses etc but must have access to a yard where they can toilet and catch some sunshine and fresh air.

Medical notes

Pug Rescue have spent $1,000+ of on vet work for Dom & Cerise whilst they have been in care.  Including vet checks, arthritis injections, eye specialist visits and eye drops.

Dom & Cerise have pigmentary keratitis on their eye and dry eye.  During their time in Pug Rescue their dry eye has improved due to daily eye drops.  Dom & Cerises’s forever family will need to continue with their daily  Tacrolimus eye drops to continue keep their eyes comfrtable. www.melbourneeyevet.com.au

Dom & Cerise have undergone a course of arthritis injections.  They both have some arthritis and Dom has some hind leg weakness but they are still very active and walk well.  They are both fully continent.

Dom & Cerise are desexed, have a long C5 vaccination history, microchipped, up to date with worm & flea prevention.

HARLEY (No more enquiries please)

To enquire about adopting Harley please email with how your home and lifestyle matches his furever home wishes. (Please include your Name, Email Address, Suburb & Phone Number): info@pugrescue.org.au

Please read our Adoption Process Here

Male Black Desexed Pug
Microchip Number: #991001001545670
DOB: 26/08/2018

Harley is as cheeky as they come….
This 11 month old puggy boy is always up for fun….
He absolutely loves to wrestle and play with puggy friends and boy can he run…
And we have to admit he is as handsome as pugs come…

In Pug Rescue care Harley has undergone $1,600+ in vet work including been desexed and airway surgery at Knox Vet which he is thankful for…
He’s been working very hard in his foster home on behavioural work such as listening to instruction, socialising manners and how to shake paw….
Cuddle’s and pats…
Harley says please give me more of that…

Harley loves toys….
Chew ones and soft ones really bring him lots of joy….
Harley will now sit and wait….
Which his foster mum says is great….

Walkies around the neighbourhood to burn some energy Harley very much enjoys….
He’s learning to walk nicely on his harness and lead and be a good boy…..
After a long day of puggy antics this big black pup….
Likes to find a soft bed or couch on which to snuggle up…

Such a delightful boy….
Harley can’t wait to find an active furever family, including a puggy girlfriend, that can guide him through his teenage pughood and in return he will provide daily puggy joy…..

Harley is toilet trained, will sit and wait until told it’s ok to eat, is learning to walk nicely on a lead and harness and is happy to sleep in a doggy bed with a puggy companion or a big comfy crate with a puggy companion.

Harley’s furever home wishes:

♥ Harley would love an active family that can provide him with great leadership.
♥ Harley is a larger statured puggy boy and is seeking a desexed pug female of a similar age as a companion, play friend and teacher (between 1 to 3 years). Harley will not be rehomed as a single pug or with another male pug or with another breed of dog.   Please don’t ask for him to be.  Harley is a big black puggy teenager and a late desexed and thinks wants to be the boss of any other male dog in his home.  This will never change!
♥Harley is seeking humans that are strong leaders and understand that he is very strong willed smart little boy in need of direction.  He has worked very hard on his self control, being handled without making a fuss and how to socialise and play with other pugs whilst in Pug Rescue care.  He seeks instructions and praise from his humans.
♥Harley is suitable for children 12+years who are dog savvy.  He is a larger statured male pug and although he is a lovely natured boy he could still accidently knock a small child over.  Ideally Harley is seeking a home that will not have children or who have completed their human family and have older primary school aged or high school aged children.  Harley is not suitable for a home that will be having new children/babies in his lifetime.
♥Not suitable for homes where he would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Harley absolutley must have daily walks of at least 30 minute.
♥Access to the inside of his house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥Harley is not suitable for apartments, units, townhouses etc  that have neighbours right next to them and do not have a yard.  He is not a big barker but has black pug vocal cords which give him a big bark and allow him to sing opera if he is trantruming.  He’s more suited to an older style suburban block.

Medical notes

Harley has undergone $1,600 of vet work in Pug Rescue care.  He is desexed, has undergone airway surgery (nostrils widened & soft palate resected) C5 vaccinated,  microchipped, up to date with worm & flea prevention.

Please read our Adoption Process Here

Male Apricot Desexed Pug
Microchip Number: #953010001322554
DOB: 31/08/2016

Dusty says he is a good boy….
As he waggles his whole body with joy…
He has the sweetest little smile…
On his little puggy dial…

In Pug Rescue foster care…
He has undergone lots of behavioural training including learning self control, appropriate socialisation skills, how to be picked up and handled with out screaming and struggling all of course whilst losing lots of puggy hair…
Dusty says Pug Rescue has even taught him how to sit and stay…
And that he goes to bed when asked at the end of the day…
He thanks Pug Rescue for spending over $2,100+ on vet work for him breath much better…
He huffed and puffed and made terrible noises struggling for breath which was scary seeing that we observed this in cooler winter weather…
With specialist airway surgery at SouthPaws now having been performed including folded palatoplasty to shorten his very long soft palate and a tonsillectomy to remove his very large tonsils Dusty is now a much happier and healthier pug…
Which puts a smile on his mug…

Dusty loves an ear scratch and pat….
And is learning to sit still on his foster humans lap…
He likes to give kisses and does enjoy hugs…
And if he wiggles too much he asks us what else would we expect from a 3 year old happy pug…
Who only wants to share his love…

Walkies are amazing and fun…
Dusty loves to go for one each day and adores being able to run…
He also absolutely loves to wrestle and play…
With the puggy girls all day….
Soft toys are a great joy for Dusty too…
And chewing on chew toys is another thing he loves to do…

Thanks to his time in Pug Rescue foster care Dusty has turned out to be…
A great little puggy boy who is full of so much glee…
He now can’t wait to find his own furever family…

Dusty is toilet trained, walks well on lead and harness and is crate trained.

Please read our Adoption Process Here

Female Fawn Desexed Pug
Microchip Number: #956000001730151
DOB: 16/01/2011

Sassy as they come…
Miss Boo Boo says Pug Rescue has turned her life around and now she is ready to find a forever dad or mum…
Waggle, waggle, waggle Boo Boo goes….
Boo Boo’s whole body waggles with glee from her little curly tail to the tip of her flat puggy nose…

This cheeky girl loves hugs…
And is such an adorable little pug…
Trotting along next to you about the house…
She thinks that going out for walkies is grouse…

From a past life of Best In Show and pups…
Boo Boo says whilst she has always been loved she has had more than a few life hiccups….
Arriving into Pug Rescue care…
She greeted us with puggy enthusiasm and 2.5kg of excess weight and tons of lose hair….
Ear infections, entropion causing pigment covered eyes limiting her vision and creating discharge and teeth that were in need of a dental too…
Plus mast cell cancer tumours on her stomach to which we gasped ohh nooo Boo Boo…

Fast forward with over $3.5k being spent in vet bills during a few months of Pug Rescue care…
Boo Boo has now lost 2.5kg in weight and after many baths and brushes gone is her excess dead hair…
Her ear infections have cleared up with meds and major dental done at Knox Vet she now smells great…
Surgery to successfully remove the two mast cell cancers from her stomach was performed and thankfully getting clear margins was made easier for her vet due to BooBoo’s excess skin from her lost weight…
Trips to the eye specialist Melbourne Eye Vet and daily Maxidex & Tacrolimus eye drops have stopped the discharge from her eyes and the pigmentary keratitis that was blinding her is being reduced as well…
Meaning that Boo Boo is regaining vision which is swell…

Brushing up on her manners Pug Rescue has helped Boo Boo do…
She now will sit and stay and will only eat her dinner when her foster human tells her it’s time to…
Getting drops in her eyes she is a perfect princess…
And she does enjoy a little play, the company of and snuggling with puggy boys she must confess…
Now that Pug Rescue have turned her life around….
Boo Boo can’t wait to find a furever home where she can rightfully wear her puggy princess crown…

Boo Boo is toilet trained, walks well on a harness & lead, is great in the car and happy to sleep on a soft doggy bed.

Boo Boo’s furever home wishes:

♥ Boo Boo must never be allowed to become obese again! It’s devastating to us when we work so hard to get excess weight off pug whilst they are in our care to then see adopted pugs that were perfect weight made to become overweight and obese again by their adoptive homes. 🙁

♥ Boo Boo is seeking a desexed male of a similar age as a companion and play friend (between the ages of approx. 7 to 9 years).  Boo Boo will not be rehomed as a single pug or with another female pug or with another breed of dog.   Please don’t ask for her to be. 🙂
