Female Fawn Desexed ANKC Pedigree Pug – 6kg
Microchip Number: #991003000111089
DOB: 17/12/2020
RE108835

Rosie with the glossy eyes and button nose…
Platinum blonde fawn hair and tippy tappy toes….
The perfect waist and tail curl…
After a massive rehabilitation journey in Pug Rescue care she’s ready to seek her furever home and find a family who will cherish her as their little girl…

Imagine being used to breed puppies and living with a large stone inside your bladder for years…
Well poor Rosie had to live with a bladder stone that has been in her bladder since before being sold off as ex pedigree show dog breeding stock and we are not sure how the years of pain didn’t bring her to tears…
When she was surrendered into our care with a history of constantly peeing inside and we saw she had trouble peeing and had blood in her urine Dr Sharon at Knox Vet performed an ultrasound and X-rays which confirmed our bladder stone fears…

On top of her bladder stone issue Rosie also suffered with quite severe BOAS “Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” despite her losing 2.5kg (was 8.5kg+ now 6kg) whilst under Pug Rescue’s care..
So along with bladder stone removal surgery she also required BOAS surgery to help her more freely breathe air…

Dr Ricky at MARS performed Rosie’s two major surgeries…
BOAS surgery and a bladder cystotomy…
Rosie’s bladder stone was removed via incisions into her abdomen and her bladder as well…
The stone was carefully removed and her bladder and abdomen sutured up and Rosie’s urine test three months post surgery are perfect which is swell..

For Rosie’s BOAS “Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” surgery Dr Ricky performed a folded flap palatoplasty to trim and thin her soft palates, a tonsillectomy and widened her nares/nostrils…
So she has a bigger airway space to now breathe through…

Skin and ear infections have been treated and resolved…..
Along with behavioural training to help her calm as she had typical reactive manic behavior many breeding dogs do even though she isn’t that old…..
Rosie is now a happy girl who loves to play wrestling and chasey with her pug friends…
Walkies Rosie loves as well and she will curl up in bed with one or two other puggies when the day ends…

Whilst in Pug Rescue care Rosie has helped out with many of our promotional events and has had so much fun…
She’s enjoyed socalising and cuddling with everyone….
Rosie hopes that she’s the puggy girl people have been waiting to pick…
And urges everyone to send through an adoption enquiry for her quick……
