Fun loving active pug boy…
Seeking a furever home to fill with joy…
At the age of 1 and 1/2…
Hogan has successfully completed Pug Rescue boot camp and is raring and ready to make a fresh start…

A cheeky gorgeous young chap…
Who absolutely loves life and cuddles on laps…
Wrestling with pug friends, tossing soft toys in the air and racing around…
Hogan pouts and gives you his puggy dog eyes wondering if you think he’s the cutest boy in town….
A great walker he loves getting out and about especially to the park or oval for a run…
He will sit and wait when asked, go to bed when asked and as a special trick dance on his hind legs just for fun…

Arriving into Pug Rescue care with quite a few typical single pandemic pug behavoural quirks including being very worked up…
Hogan has had to learn to being handled and have his face and ears cleaned and eye drops put in without yelling and screaming and instead staying calm like a good pup..
He’s also learnt that coming inside a house is great and to socalise and play…
And is happy to report he now knows how to relax on the couch yay…

With 2.3kg of weight lost and getting to a healthy 7.2kg Hogan still huffed and puffed lots and struggled to get in air…
So at Patterson River Veterinary Centre Dr Alex of Melbourne Animal Referral Services/ Geelong Animal Referral Service Team performed BOAS “Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome” surgery involving a folded palatoplasty to thin and trim his very long and thick, soft palate, a tonsillectomy to remove his big tonsils and widened his stenotic nostrils/nares…
A few weeks of crate resting and hand feeding soft food and meds as surgery recovery …
Hogan is happy to report his breathing is now great yippy…

Now that Pug Rescue has done everything for him, inclduing treating ear infections and vaccination at Knox Vet, to give him the best fresh start…
Hogan hopes there is a wonderful furever home for him that is seeking another little puggy to fill their lives and hearts…
And active family with a young puggy girl that likes to do zoomies and wrestle and play…
And of course cuddle up at the end of the day…
If you think that Hogan is the puggy boy for you…
He hopes that you quickly send an adoption enquiry through…

Hogan’s furever home wishes:

♥ OTHER PUG – YES! Hogan could be paired with Poppy if you are seeking to adopt two pugs. Hogan has benefitted from learning from the other pugs in his foster home. He loves to wrestle and play and also cuddle up with them.  Hogan is a very active boy and seeking a well socalised similar aged healthy desexed female pug  (between 1 to 3 years) as his lifelong companion.   Hogan will not be rehomed with other male pugs/dogs. Hogan will not be rehomed as a single pug. Hogan will not be rehomed with another breed of dog. Hogan will not be rehomed with a pug that is much older than him or with a much larger or overweight pug.
♥ HUMANS – Hogan is seeking humans that can keep up with him and that can show him positive leadership. Hogan is a teenage puppy and is mostly a good boy with a touch of cheekiness. Hogan can occasionally tantrum.  Hogan absolutely can never be made by her humans to become overweight!!!!
♥KIDS – Yes.  Hogan would be fine with older primary school aged kids who are respectful to dogs. He would love some human siblings.
♥FENCING – Hogan as with all of our pugs requires secure brick, timber or colourbond fencing.
♥CATS – No!
♥EXERCISE – Hogan requires at least a 30 to 40 minute walk a day plus play times.
♥WORKING HOURS – Not suitable for homes where he would be left without humans for 6+ hours a day on a regular basis.
♥Hogan absolutely requires air-condition.
♥Access to the inside of his house 24/7 and an indoor bed.
♥HOUSE & YARD SIZE/TYPE – Hogan may be fine in a house/townhouse with a smaller yard but he does need somewhere to do zoomies.
